In an attempt to save this show, writers have included Madsen on the cast when The Event returns on February 28, 2011
Veteran actress Virginia Madsen has been cast in a recurring role on the struggling NBC drama. She’ll portray Catherine Lewis, the widow of a U.S. senator from Alaska, who is focused on carrying out her husband’s legacy.
At any cost.
Madsen most recently appeared on ABC’s Scoundrels. But fans of The Event might not be discouraged by that show’s fate: it was canceled after one abbreviated season.
