Hayes (Childrens Hospital, Parenthood and Worst Week) will guest-star in a Season 2 episode as “a woman from Harvey’s past.”
Her character, Lia, is the head of security at a glamorous Atlantic City resort, who despite — or because of! — hooking up with Harvey in the past, proves resistant to his charms when she has something he needs.

Margo Martindale is coming to Suits season 2.
Martindale will square off against Harvey – playing a nurse whose union is threatening to strike – on the third episode of season two this summer, Suits creator Aaron Korsh tells Entertainment Weekly.
“I am a huge fan of Justified. I never miss an episode and I thought Margo’s performance last year as Mags Bennett was utterly riveting,” Korsh says. “As soon as she was suggested, I jumped all over the idea. In spite of the fact that Mags killed that girl’s father. That poor little girl who really had no one else. No one at all. Alone in the world… You know what, forget it, that woman is a horrible, murderous hillbilly and I want nothing to do with her.”
Any thoughts about Margo’s appearance?

What a way to end Suits season 1. The episode titled “Dog Fight” showed us how Harvey and Mike both sought to reconcile their pasts.
TV Fanatic: Harvey fought to exonerate a man wrongly convicted during his time with former DA Cameron Dennis, while facing a new DA, Terrence Wolf, who impeded his progress at every turn. At the same time, Mike struggled to keep a deceivingly reformed Trevor aloof of his relationship with Jenny, Trevor’s ex.
It was quite the intense balancing act, to say nothing of the tension brewing at Pearson & Hardman, where Jessica, Louis, Donna, and even Rachel, dealt with the fallout of Harvey’s decision to take the case.
What a rough week to be Harvey Specter! Terrence Wolf was determined to shut Harvey down at every turn, but I wasn’t surprised how hard he pushed back. I’ve never seen Mississippi Burning, but given how effective it was in supplying Mike and Harvey ammunition to keep their case alive, it certainly deserves a view.
Chi McBride played his character well. I always love him as a guest star, but he really played to his strengths as the new DA. I would love to see more of him in the future.
I’d also like to see more emerge in Harvey’s origin story. Cameron Dennis sort of dropped off the face of the planet. Clearly, he’s under investigation, but the abruptness of his replacement was rather disconcerting to me.
Either way, Clifford Danner was finally set free after serving a sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. But did this really absolve Harvey of all the wrongs, with or without his knowledge, done while an ADA? I don’t think so. Lucky for the writers, and viewers too, this may prove prime fodder for next season in whatever form it may take.
Aside from Harvey’s troubles, there were some interesting and even adversarial dynamics emerging at the firm.
Louis attempted to play hardball more than once with Jessica, foolishly posturing for a promotion to senior partner. He refused to take one for the team without being directly threatened by Jessica. He doesn’t even know how to be a partner when he’s doing a case, how could he possibly be a partner in a firm?
Donna was brilliant in her pursuit of Louis to have his cousin rush the DNA results. Sarah Rafferty for the win… again. But it was even better when Jessica wanted to see him in her office anyways.
I enjoyed getting to learn a little more about Donna this week. It never occurred to me to ask whether or not Harvey and Donna had ever had a thing. Part of me wonders if Donna would ever want something to happen between? You could almost see a series of times in the past when the thought had crossed her mind once Rachel suggested it.
However, there are a variety of complications that could arise should that ever be an option, ones which would have the potential to take away from the bromance we all know on this show. For this reason, I can entertain the thought, but would prefer the writers not act on my humble musings.
I do have to wonder: what were they doing with that can opener?
As for Trevor, that storyline is dangerously close to running its course. The dude is bad news. You don’t need any specialist or highly trained psychologist to tell you that. I could see him ratting Mike out from a mile away. He’s like a child. He’s angry that his best friend is dating his girl. It’s not like Trevor didn’t already accuse Mike of having a thing for her long ago. This isn’t new.
He’s just angry that Mike has his life together, as patchwork and imperfect it might still be. Mike’s secret makes him extremely vulnerable.
We can know this for certain: Something’s going to happen to keep Trevor from being able to finish that thought. We’ll just have to wait until summer 2012 to find out what that thing might be.
I will definitely wait for season 2! What a series! What do you think?

Episode 11 of Suits gave us another hour of entertainment.
TV Fanatic: On “Rules of the Game,” secret from Harvey’s past was revealed, the love triangle involving Mike came to a head and the relationship between Harvey and Louis became even more polarized.
Yes, the firm of Pearson & Hardman certainly had its hands full.
Who knew Harvey jumped the fence from being an Assistant District Attorney to a corporate lawyer?
It seems that Harvey knew one day the past would catch up with him. That’s why he tactfully left that piece of information out of his bio. Seems like the perfect way to distance himself from the reality that could have cost him disbarment.
I found most interesting the distinction Cameron Dennis made when justifying the evidence he buried to get convictions. He told Harvey he didn’t want to open the floodgate to allow guilty people to go free, even at the cost of some of those innocent people going to jail.
It almost made Harvey seem like the bad guy for wanting to have made sure the process was fair and just, which very well could have meant that some of those guilty people went free. For me, it turned the whole argument about what’s right and wrong on its head. This is certainly something Harvey’s going to face next week as he attempts to correct some of the wrongs that occurred during his time as an ADA.
Then, there was how readily Donna and Jessica stepped up in Harvey’s defense. He’s very loved, that much is for sure. I relished in the interaction between these two ladies. I’m fairly sure this is the first time we’ve seen these two conspiring, and it was fitting that the writers chose to bring them together for Harvey.
Similarly, Sarah Rafferty’s role as Donna is a well-played performance that everyone should appreciate. Her talent is fully utilized each time she appears on-screen. I love her more every week. The writers are always developing their characters, even in the most basic or mundane moments.
When it comes right down to it, Harvey really is the guy who always tries to play by the rules, yet at every turn this week there was cheating.
Which leads me to the ever intensifying battle between Harvey and Louis. The tension between them is like a pressure cooker about to blow up. Here, that pressure cooker finally blew when Harvey unleashed his wrath. Clearly, it wasn’t simply Louis’ insistence on getting the upper hand that had Harvey so worked up. It was also a reaction to the cheating exercised by Cameron, his mentor, and the potential impact on his own career.
But it was so unexpected to have Harvey yelling like that; you could tell he was struggling internally. It demonstrated a certain level of vulnerability not typical of our confident corporate lawyer. His back was against the wall, and Harvey knew it.
Harvey might have maintained the upper hand in the negotiation had his mind not been elsewhere. That was a thought I couldn’t shake as I watched the episode wind down and the estate mediation come to a close. He was understandably compromised due to the pending investigation in the DA’s office.
I continue to wonder what it would take to effectively enact an amicable cease fire between these two. Then again, would Suits be the same show without the witty back and forth and competitive nature of the Harvey/Louis relationship?
Before taking too much time to ponder that hypothetical, there’s the triangle between Mike, Jenny and Rachel to attend to. What right did Mike have to ask Rachel to go on a double date like that? It highlights the closeness of their relationship that Rachel agreed to it. I don’t think I would do that for someone I didn’t really care about.
Unfortunately, the double date only seemed to make things worse, in that Mike inadvertently revealed his feelings for Rachel to Jenny. Jenny was right, Mike can’t have both, and he was cheating reality to think he could.
I am still on the fence as to who I like most for Mike. I think Jenny makes sense because they’ve known each other for a long time, but I can’t ignore the chemistry he has with Rachel.
The most poignant thing Mike said when getting real with Rachel is that she was too late. He had tried everything he could, including pretending they were married to get a response from her as far as whether or not there were feelings. In a way, it might reveal that Mike is settling, even though Jenny is a great girl.
So what can you say about this episode?

Another interesting case for Suits season 1 with episode 9 titled “Undefeated.”
So much for that Boston lawyer who came to town to defend a powerful petroleum company charged with failing to cap an oil well, which led to countless victims developing various forms of cancer.
Meanwhile, Mike found himself fighting to clear Rachel’s name when she was accused of leaking a confidential list of plaintiffs to a rival firm.
In other words: Pearson & Hardman certainly had its hands full. Lucky for the firm, its best and brightest, mainly Mike and Harvey, brought their A-game, despite their tactful opponent. We learned a little bit more about Harvey this episode. I always saw him as an athlete at some point in his early years, but who knew he played baseball? And had a good arm?
It was interesting to see Harvey have to play against a version of himself. It took him several tries to finally nail Tanner to a wall. The best part? He managed to keep it clean the entire way. There was no cutting of corners, no affidavits that could have been used to charge him with perjury later on.
And Harvey was adamant about conducting himself with dignity and honesty the entire way. Bluffing doesn’t really count as lying, just as good tactics.
He may play the bad boy, but he does have standards and feelings (though far be it from him to really admit that). If I had a million dollars, I might hesitate to lay it on the line in a settlement loan. Harvey saw it as a necessity and did it.
Speaking of laying it on the line, Jimmy certainly did himself a disservice by framing Rachel to get ahead. Granted, he didn’t know the number he used to send the fatal fax belonged to Rachel, but he shouldn’t have been so naive as to believe Wakefield-Cady’s offer.
Similarly, this episode was an important one for Rachel. Through and through, she did nothing short of defending herself. She demanded a raise, that the firm pay for law school, and even used her five years at the company as leverage against Louis to get him to utter the phrase, “I’m sorry.”
I wonder who the last person was, if any, to elicit those words from Louis’ mouth – and so gracefully! It was a difficult fight on both fronts, but Harvey, Mike and Rachel all played like pros, even when the going got tough.
