I know you are all waiting for some Homeland season 2 spoilers. So here are some from executive producer Alex Gansa.
- There will be a six-month time jump.
- Carrie will be in a new state of “mental health” and back on the trail of Abu Nazir, but not associated with the CIA in any way following her season one breakdown.
- Mike will be a “major factor” in Brody’s life, but not his personal life this time. Says Gansa: “Since he’s in military intelligence, he is going to get a hold of the commission report on the assassination attempt against the vice president, and there’s going to be a bunch of stuff in there that doesn’t make sense to him.”
- Jamey Sheridan, as Vice President Walden, and Navid Nagahban, as Abu Nazir, have received series regular promotions, with Gansa teasing the latter will “factor in a major way this year,” perhaps beyond flashback or video appearances.
Homeland season 2 will premiere on September 30, 2012.
