Two, new recurring characters are coming to Royal Pains season 3.

As first reported by TV Line, Judith Godreche will debut in late 2011 or early 2012 as Claudette Von Jurgens, Boris’ cousin who fails to make peace with her uncle, but does bond with Evan.

Elsewhere, Timothee Chalamet will portray Jill’s young nephew, Luke.

Both are expected to appear later in season three and then stick around for extended arcs on season four.

Indeed, the summer finale of Royal Pains season 3 titled “A Little Art, A Little Science” is a solid one! Why? Find out below.

TV Fanatic: It never occurred to me that Divya wasn’t only endangering herself by pulling double duty, but also her patients. No doubt if Divya wasn’t sleep deprived she wouldn’t have prescribed steroids to Eric.

Divya said early on in this episode that secrets were sometimes necessary. But when it comes to a decision that not only affects her, but also their clients, Divya’s double life shouldn’t have been the secret kept. She should have told Hank from the very beginning, as this isn’t the first time Divya has attempted to play a clever balancing act.

She’s certainly doing a great job in her quest to be independent and pay back Raj’s family, but the costs of that endeavor are higher than she could have realized. One thing is for certain: this incident will have repercussions. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until this winter to learn them.

On different front, Hank procured another treatment option for Paige’s mom. This one appeared to have a positive affect. Heck, even her apprehensive husband finally came around.

What frustrates me about the situation is that Paige’s dad was more worried about his campaign than his wife’s health. It affected my depression level watching them struggle to find a solution.

I have really enjoyed getting to witness more interaction between the Lawsons and the Collins this summer. Brooke D’Orsay’s Paige is moving closer and closer to becoming a series regular. Besides, the Collins add another dimension to the show, just as the Eddie R. storyline did earlier on this season.

Wish we would have gotten to meet who Jill considered her replacement, who was mentioned briefly during the episode. Which reminds me: What is Jill still doing hanging around?!?

This was one of the plot points buried in this earlier part of the season, so far down that I almost forgot it was taking place. I hoped that she would decide she had a reason to stay early on, whether because of Hank, or her passion for Hampton’s Heritage. Unfortunately, neither one of these reasons has been cited by Jill herself as a reason to stay.

Lucky for us, Royal Pains resumes making house calls this winter, and we may finally get our answers to these burning questions and more.

Looking for an emotional episode? Make sure to check Royal Pains episode 9 titled “Me First.”

TV Fanatic: There are few images that make my list of unforgettables. But when Evan proceeded to smash the windshield of Hank’s convertible, I nearly croaked. We’ve never seen the mild-mannered CFO of HankMed act out in a more uncharacteristic way.

He should have stuck to pastry golfing. I know he put a distinct effort into making them, but it was pretty funny to see the goodies lined up on the green as he chucked them into eternity… or at least partly down the driveway.

I was relieved to see that the medical emergency Paige has tended to throughout this season was her mother and not some hidden pregnancy. While I think it’s tragic that her mother suffers from such severe bouts of depression, I couldn’t imagine what Paige was dealing with, and it was starting to bug me.

She really should have told Evan. He knows how to keep a secret. I don’t think she should have been concerned with the health of the campaign over the health of her relationship.

Paige really is a good girl. She went above and beyond planning and managing her father’s fundraiser. It is a lot of pressure to be perceived as perfect, and it was important for her to recognize that even her imperfections are something with which Evan is willing to deal. I think it’s more than just dealing, I think it’s his love. That’s something we can all get behind.

In the meantime, I enjoyed seeing Hank interact with Simon. He really has a way with children. It was especially cute when he played super villain. I hope to see him as a super dad in the future. But I have no problem waiting on that.

I also have no problem waiting on Divya to enter into any new, potentially romantic, relationships. Van Dyke doesn’t appear to be her type at all. Does that make him a perfect match for Divya? He’s attractive, seems fun, but he’s definitely awkward.

Next week is the summer finale. Looks like it’s going to be another intense one. If nothing else, we know the drama surrounding Paige’s mom didn’t end tonight. We can only wonder what impact it will have on the future of Evan and Paige, and possibly for HankMed.

Lots of events on episode 8 of Royal Pains titled “Run, Hank, Run.”  Let’s begin.

Hank treated a runner who had trouble controlling her body temp, Boris’ was poisoned with thalium – his life hanging in the balance – and Evan entered Paige’s art, without her consent, into the Hamptons Art Show.

And it all happened on “Run, Hank, Run.”

It was a shame guest star Wilmer Valderama didn’t receive more screen time, but the story surrounding his appearance, namely the revealing portrait of Evan, was enough to make up for it.

I thought it was funny that Evan was unaware of which piece had been chosen until it was too late. He knew that portrait was somewhere in Paige’s portfolio. That alone should have encouraged more discretion on his part with regard to art show entries.

The embarrassment seemed worth it, given that the piece was sold.

What was truly unfortunate was when Evan discovered that Paige had been telling her parents that she was with him all the time. Hank was right, there are things Evan doesn’t know about Paige.

Luckily, next week we’ll finally have all our questions answered with regards to Paige and her mystery medical condition.

On the Boris front, it was pretty intense. He went through thalium poisoning, which presented much like the degenerative genetic disease from which he suffers. The revelation that Boris may only have a genetic mutation, rather than an actual illness, was a surprise.

It does leave a lot of questions about what Boris experienced medically throughout the course of the show. But how amazing would it be if Carlos was able to grow up with his father, and not suffer the painful fate to which Boris has become so accustomed?
