Life Unexpected fans, here is a breaking news for you brought by E! News.

The CW has not ordered any new scripts for this series, making it very likely that the show will come to an end in a few weeks.

But show runner Liz Tigelaar does wish to be clear: “Not being picked up is different than being canceled,” she told E! News.

Still, this sort of situation rarely results in a renewal for a new season, which is why Tigelaar also says she’s penning the final episodes with a goal of wrapping various storylines up. She elaborates:

Each season has had an arc to it – like the first season starting with a proposal and ending with a wedding – and this season will have an arc to it as well. The stories that we started in the premiere will resolve in episode 13. We won’t be able to do the ending we would have [originally] planned, but I definitely believe we’ll be able to do an ending that makes people feel really satisfied.

Does this mean Cate and Baze will end up together?

We’re figuring it out. It’s a balance between not wanting to do something that’s not organic to the character’s journey in the episodes we’ve seen, but wanting to give fans the satisfaction of what the series has promised. And I’m confident that we’re going to be able to do it. This season we really wanted to lay the groundwork for a friendship between Cate and Baze, and then if down the road they get together, you understand why.

It’s not just based on the past; it’s based on the present love and respect for each other. Season two has been all about earning their friendship, and really seeing them parent Lux together. And we’re going to make it a beautiful ending.

So what now?

In watching this episode, one question popped out of my mind: Who in the world is that woman from Lux’s former years that calls herself “mom?!?

So what does TV Fanatic says:

We know Lux lived with her for two years and something must have happened to Lux because when she made contact with this woman again she knew that she did not want Tasha living there.

What makes this so strange is the lovely letter Lux got from her previous foster mom. If this woman is so bad, why would she write such a heartfelt letter?! What’s the story here?

“Team Rebounded” focused mostly on the classic saying: That there is no I in TEAM. This holds true to many story lines in last night’s episode.

First, Cate and Ryan’s marriage. Marriage is a committed union that they both entered into on their own free will and hopefully out of love. Cate has a tendency to make big decisions without consulting Ryan. Thankfully, Ryan finally stood up for himself and told Cate that if she didn’t want children one day, there would be no sense in them being together.

I had a feeling that Cate would say she wanted kids just to appease Ryan, but I didn’t think she would stoop to treacherous acts like sneakily taking her birth control pills so she won’t get pregnant. This deceitful act will most definitely blow up in her face.

Lux and Tasha also showed that two is stronger than one. Whatever Lux’s reasons for not wanting Tasha to live with that woman worked out because Tasha was able to get her independent living with Cate and Ryan’s supervision. I am happy to see Tasha back and I think she will bring a lot of character development from Lux’s past.

The basketball game proved that these chicks went out to have fun. That maybe winning is not everything and team comradeship is an essential part in playing the game – and in life. As cheesy as the scene was with Baze giving them his speech, I did think he had some useful tips to team. Plus, who doesn’t love a good pep talk?

I found it interesting that Paige is such a man-eater. First Baze, then Math (how can you blame the guy for thinking that she liked him), and now it looks like she’s putting the moves on Eric. Way to make the situation into a 90210 kind of love triangle.

Does anyone like Kelly? I find her not only to be annoying, but vengeful, too. There definitely is something up here sleeve and my guess would have to be her trying to get in between Ryan and Cate.

Overall, I do really love this show and I can see many new and captivating storylines coming our way! What did you think of last night’s episode? Sound off below, I love hearing from you!

Are you interested in knowing on who can possibly hook up with Lux on season 2 of Life Unexpected?
Well there are rumors surfaced the 16-year old would have a Pretty Little Liars-type fling with her new teacher, played by Shaun Sipos.
But producer Liz Tigelaar cleared up a few specifics, while remaining vague, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Referring to the student and the teacher, she said:
“They definitely have a dynamic between them. It’s a different kind of story. Lux is a character that doesn’t have any desire to play by the rules. She’s also an old soul. She’s drawn to someone different than the typical high school guy. What do you do when you’re not allowed to be drawn to that? And how do you deal with it? And how does it make you feel?
“What we really want to do is tell a story that gets underneath this girl [and find out] where boundaries should be crossed with her and why she kind of feels like she’s kind of above the rules.”

ABC tried the crossover thing on its TV series, like Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, and it succeeded. Will CW be successful as well?
Now, The CW will try its first-ever crossover episode.

On October 12, a pair of One Tree Hill characters will appear on Life Unexpected. Here’s how it will go down:
Look for Haley and Mia to travel perform at a Portland music festival sponsored by Cate’s radio station, as “Haley and Cate are surprised to learn that they share a similar back story [as] mothers,” said a network source.
One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected will air alongside each other on Tuesday nights this fall, starting September 14. So you can predict now if this crossover will be successful as well.
