After the tragic  season 8 finale of Grey’s Anatomy where Lexie’s character died, here is another bad news. Altman will also not be part of season 9.

Here is the message of Shonda Rhimes:

Okay Callie said it best tonight. Life changes in an instant. Turns on a dime.

This finale was increadibly hard to write. I did not enjoy it. It made me sick and it made me sad. We end the season not knowing ANYTHING about the future, Except for two things. We know we are definitely saying goodbye to two if my favorite people: Chyler Leigh (Lexie) and Kim Raver (Teddy).

I know this season’s finale had some surprises for viewers and the exit of Kim Raver was one of the big ones. But Kim’s series option was up and she was ready to give Teddy Altman a much-needed vacation. It’s been a pleasure working with someone as talented and funny and kind as Kim; everyine is going to miss her terribly. I like to imagine that Teddy is still out there in Grey’s Anatomy universe, running Army Medical Command and building a new life.

I love Chyler and I love the character of Lexie Grey. She was an important member of my Grey’s family. This was not an easy decision. But it was a decision that Chyler and I came to together. We had a lot of thoughtful discussion about it and ultimately we both decided this was the right time for her character’s journey to end. As far as I’m concerned Chyler will always remain a part of Shondaland family and I can’t wait to work with her again in the future.

I’d write more but I’m honestly too sad. I don’t like life changing in an instant and turning on a dime.

Thanks for watching Season Eight. We are, as always, grateful that you joined us for the ride.

After watching the season 8 episode 23 of Grey’s Anatomy where the plane containing the Seattle Grace doctors crashed, we arrived with a conclusion (or a short list)  on who will die in the season finale. Read it below.

First let us enumerate the doctors who were in the plane: Derek, Meredith, Cristina, Mark, Lexie, Alex, and Arizona.

Then after knowing the casts who renewed their contracts (Derek, Meredith, Cristina, Alex, Bailey, Webber) and some spoilers from Ausiello (Sloan & Jackson will not die) then the list came up with two remaining names: Lexie and Arizona!

Arizona and Lexie really looked bad after the plane crash as shown in the promo:

By the way, did Altman and Callie join the flight? If yes then they can also be candidates.

And do you think people from the hospital are safe? If not, for some reasons, then Owen and April could be at risk as well.

So who do you think will die in the season 8 finale of Grey’s Anatomy? Share your theories below.

Here is a good news for Grey’s Anatomy fans! We will see six main characters again not only in season 9 but also in season 10 of Grey’s Anatomy. Read the news below.

According to Deadline, all original cast members whose future on the ABC medical drama had been up in the air amid contract negotiations, have re-upped for two more seasons. That includes Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers as well as James Pickens, Jr. and Chandra Wilson.

It means that we will see Meredith Grey, Derek Shepherd, Cristina Yang, Alex Karev, Richard Webber, and Miranda Bailey again on the next two seasons. Yes, you heard it right there will be seasons 9 and 10. Such a relief huh?

As of the moment, we still do not have any concrete information on who will die on the season 8 finale of Grey’s Anatomy. We can remove the names above from our death list. So who do you think will die? Kepner? Avery? Sloan? Teddy? Hunt? Little Grey? or merely Adele?

Here is a sh0rt episode recap of Grey’s Anatomy season 8 episode 22 titled “Let the Bad Times Roll.”

This episode revealed the lone Seattle Grace resident who failed the oral medical boards. Let’s discuss their performances one by one.

So even Alex, who was late, passed the boards? Yes, he might have forfeited the first session but luckily he perfected the last two. Way to go Karev!

Meredith was sick yet she was able to answer the questions in a direct, clear and concise manner. Although she kept on vomiting almost before and after each question, she still made it through. Talk about one of her answers which she already knew since she was 12 because her mother practically invented the procedure.

Cristina was a genius. Although her attitude was not that great in this episode she still managed to answer the questions correctly. She even described her examiner as a FOSSIL due to the latter’s preference on primitive procedure.

Jackson was distracted at first by her mom’s presence (and noise) in the next room but he was able to pull it through in the end. What about that bathroom incident with April during the break?

Lastly and unfortunately April. She failed the exams (although our only basis is Mrs. Avery’s statement that one of Seattle residents failed and April’s face gave us such conclusion in the final scene). She kept on sweating on her first session while giving hesitating and giving unsure answers, and even professed her pre-marital sex to the examiner which definitely did not help her cause. Should we blame Avery for this? I guess not. April failed to impress her examiners with her answers, that’s it.

Other events: Arizona’s former “husband” came and was already dying, little Grey told Sloan that she still love him, the arrival of candidates who will replace the leaving residents and more of Webber and Mrs. Avery fling.
