Why so serious, Gwen Stacy?
The first images from the set of the now-filming Spider-Man reboot have appeared online, courtesy of Just Jared and Comic Book Movie.
The spy photos show a now blond Emma Stone as Gwen. She’s dressed all in black and looking quite grim. In other words — SPOILERS AHEAD — she is at a funeral. But whose?
In the comics, Gwen’s dad, police captain George Stacy (played by Denis Leary in the reboot), is killed and Gwen blames Spidey for his demise.
Update: Comic Book Movie has more pics from the set, this time of one Chris Zylka — the guy who claimed on Twitter that he had been cast as Spidey’s eternal frenemy Flash Thompson. See? Twitter is right sometimes!
Now, I became more excited to see official Spidey reboot photos!
