Here is the latest news for the most awaited Superman reboot. It is now confirmed that Antje Traue will play the role of the female villain lead Faora.on Man of Steel.

Faora, who appearing in multiple forms in the comics, is always a man-hating Kryptonian. It remains uncertain which one Traue has been tapped to play. In popular culture, the feminine Kryptonian named Ursa, in Superman and Superman II is thought to be based on Faora, who appeared in season eight of Smallville as the wife of General Zod.

It’s expected that Traue will be playing the version of Faora that debuted in Action Comics as a Pokolistanian assistant of General Zod. That character was a metahuman with the capability to disorder of the molecular structure, which let her to create a mutagenic virus that served as the key player of Zod’s plan.

Traue recently wrapped a role in Renny Harlin‘s war drama 5 Days of August, starring Val Kilmer, Andy Garcia and Heather Graham. She was previously tested for the Brad Pitt‘s wife in Marc Forster‘s World War Z, but the role was lately went to The Killing star Mireille Enos.

Zack Snyder’s helming Man of Steel from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, based on a story written by Nolan and Goyer.

Except for Traue, Cavill as Supes and Shannon, the promptly filling out cast also includes Amy Adams, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.

Production is scheduled to begin this summer in Chicago, planned for a December 2012 release.

The latest movie spoiler for The Avengers concerns Captain America getting an all-new costume for the said movie.

Chris Evans recently told MTV News, he wore the suit for the first time during a screen test, as it has already started production in Albuquerque.

“Yeah, it’s awesome,” Evans admitted, “It’s really cool. I was worried because I started to get really attached to the old one. I got to really start digging it. It’s not that easy to move in, but I started really liking it.”

It is the original 1940’s version of the suit that will be featured in Captain America: The First Avenger, which is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2011.

The Avengers is set to be released on May 4, 2012 and will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and Chris Evans.

It is now official. Our favorite Javier Bardem is now confirmed to play the lead role of Roland Deschain in The Dark Tower.

Just in case you missed our previous reports about this project, we’re talking about Ron Howard‘s upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King‘s book series, The Dark Tower.

Yeah, yeah, it’s the good old story that follows “Gunslinger” Deschain as he travels through an Old West-like landscape in search of the mythical Dark Tower to save civilization.

According to NewYorkPost, “..Bardem has signed on to the first movie and the miniseries, but the intention is that he will star in all three movies and each of the TV series. It’s an enormous deal for any actor, but Bardem was always the first choice.”

That’s exactly what we reported back in January, so, it’s not such a surprise. But it definitely sounds great.

Production on the first film looks likely to start this September with Howard directing, and Brian Grazer producing.

Let us also remind you that, as well as a trilogy of films, the story will continue through three TV miniseries that are planned to follow each film.

This is really a good casting news for The Dark Tower. At least other rumors are gone as Bardem will surely play Deschain.

We have the latest addition to the movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games. According to Lionsgate, Elizabeth Banks will play the role of Effie Trinket, the escort for District 12

Lionsgate also revealed the District 4 Tributes namely Ethan Jamieson and Tara Macken.

Banks will be playing Effie Trinket, the escort for District 12.  She lives at the Capitol and has no idea of the life her tributes lead in the District she represents.  She is often portrayed as wearing crazy costumes and decked out in hair dye and makeup.  She is described as wearing a pink wig in the first book.

She will join Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Jack Quaid, Leven Rambin, Willow Shields, Paula Malcomson, Ian Nelson, and Kalia Prescot.

The Hunger Games will hit theaters on March 23, 2012.

Robert Downey, Jr. returns as the iconic Tony Stark/Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

It is the first Marvel feature to be fully owned, marketed, and distributed by Disney as the company acquired Marvel in 2009.

The Avengers will hit the big screen on May 4, 2012.

It is now confirmed through an Indian newspaper Daily Bhaskar that Dark Knight Rises will film some of its scenes on India, particularly in Blue City.

“Get set to welcome DC Comics superhero Batman as he arrives in the Blue City.  The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has given the nod to US-based Cape Road Productions to lense the next Batman flick, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in Jodhpur.”

Jodhpur is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan and is referred to as the Blue City because many of the houses are painted blue.

The Dark Knight Rises has a growing cast that includes Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, and Michael Caine.

We have new additions to the cast of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games. Everyone, meet the latest District 3 tributes.

Newcomers Ian Nelson and Kalia Prescott will play the male and female Tributes from District 3.

They never officially gets names in the book, as most of the district tributes don’t, but Prescott’s character has a sad goodbye scene in the book as she bids farewell to her parents and younger siblings.

Meanwhile, during training we find out that Nelson’s character is good at electronics and technology.

The Hunger Games also stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Liam Hemsworth as Gale, and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta.

The Hunger Games will hit the theaters on March 2012.

Hey Hunger Games fans, meet Katniss Everdeen’s sister.

According to Lionsgate, Primrose Everdeen will be played by young actress Willow Shields. Perfect fit? Maybe.

This young-adult science fiction novel is, in the words of author Suzanne Collins, inspired by the Greek myth of Theseus, in which the citizens of Athens were forced to send young men and women to Crete to be sacrificed to the Minotaur.

The Hunger Games trilogy action story is set in a post-apocalyptic world, in the state of Panem, which was once North America. When the younger sister Primrose was selected to be among those who are in front of District 12 in a deadly fight Hunger Games, the protagonist Katniss volunteered to take her place. Ross said of casting Shields:

It’s so exciting to find an amazing young actress like the one we just met. Prim is an emotionally demanding role and in many ways she is the cornerstone of the story. Willow Shields will make an amazing Prim and we’re very lucky to have her.”

Young thesp joins Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale.

That’s not all – in addition, four more names were announced for tribute roles: Jack Quaid (the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan) and Leven Rambin will play District 1’s Marvel and Glimmer, and Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg will portray District 11’s Thresh and Rue.

Elizabeth Banks (Zack and Miri Make a Porno) is also in negotiations to team up with the Gary Ross feature project as Effie Trinket, an escort for District 12.

Warner Bros. made it official that Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will join The Dark Knight Rises. What role will they play? Read below.

Cotillard will play Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member who wants to help Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic activities.

Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City cop assigned to a special case under the command of Commissioner Gordon.

The two actors recently worked with Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan in his critically acclaimed sci-fi drama Inception.

“When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience,” Nolan said in a statement. “I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again.”

The film also stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine.

The Dark Knight Rises is set for a July 20, 2012 release.

Variety says that Nestor Carbonell will be back as the Mayor of Gotham City. How psyched are you right now?

You’ll remember Carbonell from Lost, where he played the (usually) immortal Richard Alpert.

Production on The Dark Knight Rises begins this summer in Pittsburgh.

Christian Bale will reprise the title role in Nolan’s third and final Batman feature, with Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy playing Bane.
