Take note, Dexter season 6 will tackle faith and religion. So will it be a Da Vinci Code-ish season?

No, Showtime President Mark Nevins joked today at the Television Critics Association press tour: “Jesus will not be on Dexter this year.”

Instead, Dexter Morgan will wrestle with the question “what does it mean to raise a child given the Dark Passenger I’m carrying around with me?” Nevis said, while saying he’d find clues of a large criminal story that involves Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos.

“The killings Dexter is following unravel in a Dan Brown sort of way, where there are clues to be followed.”

Might season six mark Dexter’s final killing spree? It’s unlikely, according to the executive: “There are things that happen this year that will set up new life for the show.”

What can you say about the concept of season 6 of Dexter?

Based on the spoilers revealed so far, we can conclude that Dexter will be in a “spiritual place” on season 6 premiere.

But what about Deb? Dexter’s co-workers? The newcomers that will permeate this serial killer’s world? Executive producer Sara Colleton offered a few teases in an interview with TV Line.

Here are the season 6 spoilers of Dexter:

On Colin Hanks’ Travis Molly Parker’s character: “They have a wonderful brother/sister relationship that in many ways parallels Dexter’s relationship with Deb.”

LaGuerta and Batista? Divorced!

Deb and Quinn? The former” comes into real strength as a grown woman this season, both in her personal and professional life,” while her fellow detective/boyfriend “wants Dexter to like him because he realizes how important to Deb her brother is.”

And Harry? No more pressure. Not many more life lessons, says Colleton: “He’s being supportive. They were father/son before; now they’re two dads together.”

A beautiful and hot professor is coming to Dexter season 6.

She turned heads on True Blood – okay, her head was turned on True Blood – and now Mariana Klaveno hopes to do the same on Dexter.

The actress has booked a recurring role on the Showtime hit, as Deadline reports she’ll portray Carissa Morris, a professor at Florida University. She’ll likely be a colleague of Edward James Olmos’ murderous character, also a professor on season six.

Klaveno, a friend of the site, will appear on multiple season six episodes. She also stopped by Hawaii Five-O last year.

Another beautiful face on Dexter huh?!

Here are the latest spoilers for Dexter season 6 courtesy of TV Guide.

Executive Producer Sara Colleton tells TV Guide the show wanted its main character to be in a “positive place” on season six. Therefore: “[We’ll] jump ahead a year and find that Dexter has gotten his groove back. He’s gotten over Rita and Lumen.”

New showrunner Scott Buck previously said the new season would focus on a spiritual search for Dexter. Can Colleton expound on that tease?

“There are things in life that Dexter’s dealing with and one of them is that Harrison is now two years old and he has to go to school,” she says. “There are things that he has to start thinking about with his son, and he’s been keenly aware of what it is that he doesn’t want to pass on to Harrison, namely his Dark Passenger, but Dexter has no idea what it is that he does want to pass on.”

In a few months, we’ll find out what the killer decides.

Exciting spoilers huh? What do you think?

Have you already heard of the new serial killer on Dexter season 6? To give you a hint, take a look at the photo below.

In this first look at the September premiere, we gave a vague idea of the sort of crimes committed by Edward James Olmos’ Professor Gellar.

The image above depicts the first “mysterious kill linked to Gellar that’s going to cross Dexter’s path,” Producer Scott Buck tells Entertainment Weekly. “This is a person who’s sending out a message, and Dexter can’t wait to figure out what that message is.”

Apparently, though, it involves… baby snakes?!?

The latest issue of EW, available on newsstands this Friday, will give readers another sneak peek at season six. So get a copy and share to us what you see.

Dexter’s new showrunner Scott Buck gave us some hints about Dexter season 6. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he revealed some spoilers which includes the spiritual search and new serial killer.
“What does it mean when a serial killer goes on a spiritual search? Dexter has always known what he doesn’t want to pass onto his son – his “dark passenger” – but now he’s beginning to ask what he does want to pass on. So that’s forcing him to look around to see what else there is in life.”
Describing the character as “more evolved,” Buck outlines the sort of serial killer we’ll see when this Showtime drama returns in the fall:
He’s “very strong, sure-of-himself, which would be the difference from the Dexter of last year, where Dexter was questioning himself about everything. A year has passed since the end of last season, so Dexter has put his life in order. Things are good for him. He’s very centered, strong and focused, much the same way he was in season 1, but now he knows so much more.”
As for big-time guest stars, Buck gives us an in-depth look at Professor Gellar, played by Edward James Olmos.
He compares his character to the Zodiac Killer and says he “becomes a big person of interest in some crimes that are being committed in Miami.”
Perhaps similar to the Trinity Killer storyline, Buck teases that Dexter will grow curious over Gellar’s motivations; we’ll also get to know Travis Marshall, the professor’s well-intentioned protege, played by Colin Hanks.
So what do you think of this one?

Molly Parker is coming to Dexter season 6. For what role? Read below.

The former Deadwood actress will recur on season six of Dexter as the sibling of Colin Hanks’ Travis. The latter character, an expert in ancient artifacts, is rumored to be the main foe of our favorite blood expert this fall.

Parker has appeared on Human Target and Boardwalk Empire. No word yet regarding how many episodes she’ll appear on.

What do you expect from her?

Time to for Brea Grant to redeem herself after that Heroes appearance. She will appear on several episodes of Dexter season 6.

Not much is known about the actress’ character, but she wrote on her official website today: “I’ll be recurring on Dexter this season! No spoilers, but i’m pretty sure you’ll be seeing me in a white lab coat.”

Hmmm… a white lab coat. That hint doesn’t offer us many clues about Grant’s role, as no other recent addition to the Showtime hit – Billy Brown, Edward James Olmos, Mos Def – has been cast as a scientist or doctor.

So definitely she’ll joined other guests on the lab! What do you think?

Mark your calendar.

According to reports Paramount Home Entertainment will released Dexter season 5 on DVD and Bluray on August 16, 2011. Check the cover below.

The Michael C. Hall drama revolves around the murderous ways of a superhero serial killer. It’s not very often that we get to frame serial killers in that light. There has been no word uttered regarding the releases featuring bonus materials and extra features at this time. The DVD will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of $54.99, while the Blu-ray will run at the MSRP of $64.99.

I will surely get a copy of this one. I love Dexter especially season 5.
