The date for final filming of Harry Potter 7 Part 2 is near. This means that the end of the adventure of our favorite young wizard is also getting closer. Read below and be spoiled!

Cinemablend had a chance to sit down with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows producers to get some tidbits are the final film.

Here’s how producers decided to approach the final film – which is very similar to the layout of the books as well.

“By making them from Harry’s perspective it created something of a narrative structure, since they’re not organic cinematic narratives, the Harry Potter films. They’re meandering, they go off on these tangents. Inevitably it’s going to be an unconventional structure, but wherever we can impose some sort order on it is important.”

Since Deathly Hallows has been split into two films, producers were able to put even more details and scenes from the book, they would have otherwise had to scrap.

Warning spoilers below!

Producers Barron and Heyman described a couple of the scenes they were able to leave in the movie since it’s split into two parts.  Among the scenes the producers say wouldn’t have made it into the film, had it been only one: Harry’s first encounter with Dumbledore between life and death, which Harry envisions to be King’s Cross and the exploration of Snape’s memories after Snape is killed.

“We also wanted to make a bigger scene of Harry’s confrontation with Snape. Snape’s role in the film is minimal, and it was minimal in the second half of the book, and yet you wanted to have the emotional investment when you see his past story the memory Harry views in the Pensieve. We wanted to build that up in order for it to have its emotional impact.”
