I am so excited to see Katy Perry on How I Met Your Mother. But now, the stills below are the best that we can have so enjoy looking at them!

How I Met Your Mother viewers are about to say hello to a California Gurl.

In what can only be billed as a Teenage Dream to many fans of this CBS sitcom, Katy Perry will guest star on the show’s February 7 episode. Not much is known about her role, except that Russell Brand’s prettier half will portray a woman named Honey. Look for her to get close to Barney.

We’ve got your first few looks at Perry’s small screen debut below. Will she ignite the night in question? Like a Firework? We’ll soon find out.

Oh Katy Perry! Any comments guys?

Yes, you heard it right. Barney’s romance is on its way as Nazanin Boniadi has booked a recurring role on How I Met Your Mother.

The former General Hospital star, who appeared on that soap opera for three years, will appear on multiple episode of this sitcom as Nora, a love interest for Barney.

Boniadi will debut later this season, though few details have been released regarding her character. The actress’ small screen resume includes stints on 24 and Hawthorne.

So are you excited to see her with Barney?

NCIS fans, we got an interesting spoiler for you from TV Line. NCIS has tapped former Brothers & Sisters cast member Sarah Jane Morris to join our team of agents for a major story arc this spring.

Jane will play Erica Jane “EJ”  Barrett, a new NCIS agent who shakes up the team dynamic – specifically when it comes to Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo.

If the flirtatious sparks do fly, that would turn the tables a bit as far as Tiva is concerned. Tony’s been the jealous one all year thanks to the mysterious Ray.

So what do you think of her appearance?

The 12th episode of Chuck is another great episode. I mean this is a typical Chuck episode and I like it.

TV Fanatic shares their insights on “Chuck Versus the Gobbler.” Draped in leather, wearing a jet black wig and sunglasses, this was not the blonde, orange mini skirt-donning, ice cream scooper we knew from a couple of seasons ago.

Sarah was attempting to convince Volkoff that she had turned bad this week, and while that may have proved to be easier than one might imagine, it involved tearing herself away from Chuck.  This was not an easy task for Agent Walker.

While some have complained that Chuck and Sarah have never been able to just be happy, I ask: who wants to watch that?  Chuck has done a good job lately of keeping conflict between our romantic heroes, yet not making any of it seem stale.

Sarah is undercover in Volkoff Industries and, therefore, has to stay away from Chuck.  Mama B explains that keeping her distance from Chuck will make things easier, so Sarah declines to read Charles’s text message near the end of the episode.  The fact that we know how much Sarah misses Chuck makes the fact that she hits that decline button so much more of a gut punch.

Before we ponder what may lie ahead for our favorite CIA agents, let’s take a look at what we got out of the Chuck Triple Threat this week.

Action
We should begin with the epic fight between Sarah and Casey. That second fall from the platform looked like a doozy for Casey, and seeing him so helpless in that hospital bed was a new experience.  It’s not often that a character has any physical repercussions for all of the trouble he/she gets into.  This latest injury might make the stakes seem a little more real in the future.  If Casey is up and at ’em in the next  episode, I will be angry.

There was also the nice moment when Sarah took out Volkoff’s three guards like they were standing still, which they were.  Chuck got in on things when he took out The Gobbler after a long struggle at the prison.  Now, I understand that The Intersect allows Chuck to be able to fight like a pro, but it shouldn’t make him more tolerable to pain.

This huge dude’s punches would’ve knocked him out in season one.  Is it normal for Chuck to have gained this much tolerance?  And, finally, we had Volkoff just flat out shoot The Gobbler in the head for disappointing him.  I did not see that coming!  It was shades of Emmett Milbarge getting mirked in the face a couple seasons ago.

Comedy
There weren’t many one-liners this week from the Buy Morons, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t make that scene count.  It was nice to get Awesome and Ellie back for the first time in 2011, and Awesome’s plan to get Ellie off of the name Grunka for their baby was, in a word, awesome!

Which would turn you off to the name more: Lester losing his virginity to a Grunka?  There being a serial killer named Grunka?  Or Jeff simply liking the name Grunka?  I’m going with Lester.

Of course, Morgan had his moments.  Some of my favorites included him practicing his tough guy voice; telling Casey that his daughter was wearing Morgan’s t-shirt because it’s cold and sometimes they have “shirt parties;” all of his antics at the faux birthday party for the security guard; and his introduction of Chuck as a “real killer” at the prison.

Heart
Like I noted at the beginning of the review, this episode’s heartfelt moments began and ended with Sarah and Chuck being so close, but having to be so far away for now.  My favorite was the both sweet and hilarious moment that Chuck told Sarah he loved her, kissed his finger, and then placed it on Sarah’s cheek.  Him immediately asking “Was that weird? That whole finger kissy thingy?” had me bursting out in laughter, but it was very sweet.

This Volkoff guy is really growing on me.  He may be the evil bad guy, but he is also a romantic sap, and I like that combination.  This week, he explained that he loves paintings, poetry, and the art of massage, before begging Mama B to have dinner, lunch, breakfast, or a bit of cake with him.  He is a sucker for the ladies, and hopefully it will help Sarah get Mama B out of there for good one of these days.

Moving Forward
So Sarah is in now. Volkoff buys that she’s turned on the CIA, right?  Or does he?  I never questioned that he would let Sarah into the fold this easily, but I did a double take when he so quickly allowed her to see everything in the Hydra eyeball.  After he demolished it and downloaded it to a more secure location, I’m back to thinking maybe he doesn’t trust her after all.

Hey GA fans, here is a spoiler brought by TV Guide. Rachael Taylor will appear on the next episode as Dr. Lucy Fields. So what will she do?

You can see her in action in this photo gallery from February 3’s “Don’t Deceive Me (Please Don’t Go).” But there’s more to her role than just treating Calliope.

“I’m working with Justin Chambers a lot,” says Taylor of the actor who portrays Dr. Alex Karev. “Justin’s hilarious. He has a wicked sense of humor.”

As far as a romantic connection with Alex goes, Taylor says she has no idea … mostly: “I don’t know. There’s no steam yet, I don’t think. Depends what you call steam.”

Regardless, it’s been a great experience so far.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect from the cast, but they couldn’t be more gracious or welcoming,” she reports. “Ellen Pompeo is like the sweetest woman in the world.”

“She’s so delightful. Patrick is a gentleman. They’ve all been wonderful.”

“It’s really impressive as well that seven years on they show up, know their lines, put in great performances and also have the energy to welcome a newbie. I didn’t expect it.”

So are you excited to see her?

Before reading below, please be guided that spoilers are provided so if you still haven’t read the book then you should leave now.

A key character’s death will be altered in the film version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 it seems – but don’t worry, Potter fans, it’s perhaps not quite as scary as it sounds.

Yes, Severus Snape will still see his tragic life come to an end in the final film of the series. However, in a new interview with Cine Premiere Mexico (which was then picked up by HPANA.com), Potter art director Andrew Ackland-Snow has said that the actual location where he dies has changed.

The exact quote from Ackland-Snow reads, “We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies on the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. [Rowling] if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn’t really seen it before. We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boat house from there – Are you listening Harry? -, but also the school is in flames…and she loved it. Besides, it’s a very romantic place to die. Snape dies in a extremely good way, I gotta say.”

So it doesn’t sound like the actual manner in which he dies and the events surrounding it have been changed, just where it takes place.

So do you like the minor alteration?

I got a serious Castle episode. I’m surprised that I will get the same thing in House. So what’s with the serious stuff on TV shows this week? Maybe they wanted to proclaim this week as the “Seriousness Week.”

Back to the review, TV Fanatic shares their insights below.

But the two-thirds of the episode that didn’t focus on a mysterious illness delivered enough laughs to make this episode satisfying.

I know the hour dealt with multiple questions of whether or not someone can change – Chase and his womanizing, the patient and his belief in strict discipline, House and his feelings for Rachel – but I enjoyed it more for comedic reasons than anything overly profound. Multiple jokes were made about the size of Chase’s penis, remember.

The show has gone to extreme lengths in order to depict Chase as a whore (if I may be as blunt as Masters). I mean, three women in one night? At a wedding that was not thrown at the Playboy Mansion?!?

Still, for the second time in two weeks (following a focus on Taub’s crumbling marriage), House dedicated a chunk of time to an underling, giving viewers something to care about other than whatever scheme House was cooking up. I appreciate the effort and laughed hardest when Taub thanked Chase for giving him a distraction from his divorce, and also when he asked simply:

“How is this not hilarious?”

As for House’s storyline, is anyone else totally creeped out by Rachel? She’s like two years old and her expression never changes. Instead of checking her IQ, perhaps House should run a few diagnostic tests on Huddy’s poor, silent daughter.

On a more serious note, it’s typical for House to couch his feelings in terms of logic (if Cuddy is sad, I will be put out; therefore, I must do whatever I can to make Cuddy happy…), which made the final scene of the episode nice and heartwarming. There’s no way rationalize a little girl crawling into your lap. You’ve just gotta go with it and appreciate the position you are in.

So what do you think?

Knockdown is one episode that is surprisingly good. It’s a more serious one and I love it.

According to TV Fanatic, although the show is primarily known for its wild antics and off-the-wall story lines, “Knockdown” was just what this show needed.

Beckett had a chance to learn more about her mother’s murder and got that much closer to the person who ordered the hit. We saw the main characters showing some real emotion and finally made some headway with Castle and Beckett.

Having the case focus on Joanna Beckett made it personal for all of our favorite detectives. Ryan and Esposito knew they needed to find answers, Captain knew he had to keep Kate at a distance from it, Castle knew he needed to be their for his partner and Beckett knew who to turn to when she needed someone to trust.

Ryan and Esposito were great all around. They swore they were backing up Beckett and they took the ice torturing because they knew they had no choice. I love that these two are getting more screen time every week. I am also looking forward to seeing more of Esposito and Lanie.

Now to the part everyone had been waiting for, including myself: the Castle and Beckett kiss! Sure, it was out of context and used as a distraction, but it still had the emotion behind it we have been waiting for. The looks on both of their faces were priceless.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed the kiss, there are two other parts that made the episode:

  • When they were at the coffee house and Raglan asked who Castle was, Beckett simply replied, “just someone I trust.”
  • When Castle talking with his worried mother, who asked why he was still doing this and he replied with the quote that opened this review.

A solid episode indeed. So what do you think?

After seeing “There Goes the Neighborhood, Part 2”, I can say that Being Human is starting to make an impact. I know that the story will be interesting but the character portrayal is my only concern. Surprisingly, I have no problem with it.

TV Fanatic: I actually recall more from this installment being similar to the British Being Human than I did the first episode. So far, they have not strayed off the path originally forged.

The episode starts with Sally, so I’ll take this time to say she is not growing on me.

There is something missing in Meaghan Rath’s portrayal. I don’t feel anything for her loss of life, for her quest to find where she belongs. I just don’t care.

At this time, she is adding little to nothing to the canvas, other than to make life more difficult for Josh and Aidan as she plays with the life of Danny, somewhat like a child would with a doll.

She does something stupid which, in fact, ruins their home to some degree, and then the guys are left to, quite literally, clean up the mess. I get that she’s dead and lost, but they have to start deepening her purpose and plight, quickly. I don’t buy it, and Danny doesn’t seem worth losing sleep over. Maybe I’m missing something bigger.

Aidan is taking shape nicely. Sam Witwer has taken control of his portrayal and now I think he was an excellent choice for the role. Aidan’s desolation becomes more palpable with every thumpity thump thump of blood he has pounding in his head.

He is the only of the three “monsters” who must live every waking moment surrounded by the one thing his true nature wants most; human blood.

I don’t know how he successfully fights it, unless it’s that a true connection with someone gives him the most guttural urge to feed. Perhaps that is why he stays mostly to himself. If Rebecca’s reaction to Josh is any indication, he has no desire to feed upon a werewolf, thereby making him a perfect choice for roommate and friend.

Rebecca. When Aidan asked for a clean-up, the last thing he expected was for Bishop and friends to turn her. They picked the worst possible candidate for a vampire. A desperate, clingy woman, easily wrapped around your finger. One who felt lesser than others her entire life. To give her such power without the right training was begging for trouble.

She reminds me of what could have happened with True Blood’s Jessica without Bill’s steady hand. She had tantrums and wanted to do everything she hadn’t in the past, but learned otherwise and is now one of my favorite characters on the show.

Does anyone see Rebecca taking that path? I think her ship has sailed, and any time she appears will mean double trouble to anyone in her path.

Sam Huntington continues to steal my heart in the role of Josh.

His facial expressions, when he is being funny, are priceless. He exudes pathos and it makes me desperately yearn for his happiness. Of the three characters, he certainly has the best chance for a nearly-normal future, but his guilt and fear of hurting others will create a struggle of enormous proportions before he ever makes it to that point.

When it dawned on him the inner turmoil Aidan faces with every breath he takes, I gave a sigh of relief. The more they know and understand about each other, the better their chance at a semi-normal life and lasting friendship. Of being human.

If they could just find some way reduce the agitating nature of Sally and quickly enfold her into the group dynamic, that would help me enormously.

One final thought. I wish they hadn’t chosen Mark Pellegrino for Bishop. He was the all powerful Jacob on Lost and Lucifer, of all people, on Supernatural.

I’m about done with him being the big bad, and look to him more as a cartoon than someone to be frightened of at this juncture. As I believe his part will be only growing going forward, I can only hope something happens to separate his performance as Bishop from the others with which I am already so familiar.

It seems that Elena has been talking about sacrificing herself to Klaus in order to protect her loved ones. But is this final? Or will there be another one who can step up for this “sacrifice?”

But might another member of the Gilbert family actually take this ultimate step instead? In previewing what lies ahead for Jeremy Gilbert, Steven R. McQueen tells Zap2It:

“I’m just not willing to lose anyone else, so I’m willing to sacrifice myself to dig her out of that ditch. But it ends up backfiring.”

What ends up backfiring?!? We’ll need to wait for new episodes to find out. Below, the actor speaks on where his character is at these days in one of the show’s burgeoning love triangles.

On the arrival of Luka to Mystic Falls: It “definitely ups the stakes and makes Jeremy want to fight for Bonnie’s affection that much more.”

On whether Jeremy will delve into Luka’s past: “Jeremy’s always trying to get to the bottom of what’s going on.”

On his relationship with Elena: “Jeremy’s involved in this whole situation whether Elena likes it or not. That does cause a little bit of conflict between them but it also causes them to get closer because they have less secrets and they’re both kind of in the loop an in the same boat, kind of.”
