This idea is somehow great for the reason that seeing other faces, especially soap opera stars, is one thing that can spice up Castle. Job well done ABC.

Appropriately, a handful of real-life daytime stars will make an appearance on the installment, which airs this spring. They include:

  • Cameron Mathison (pictured, All My Children)
  • Rebecca Budig (pictured, All My Children)
  • Corbin Bernsen (The Young and the Restless)

The episode will center on the fictional soap opera Temptations and a dangerous blogger who is unhappy with its storylines.

So what can you say about the guests?

On the past episodes we heard the impending vampire-werewolves war. Now, in “Daddy Issues,” we are enlightened. There is a huge development and it escalated the issue big time! What is it? Read below

I want the boy more than I want vengeance.
Let’s get both.

It. Is. So. On.

TV Fanatic: Poor Caroline suffered at the hand of the shot ‘heard round the world. Or the shots heard ’round the world, really, wooden bullet style. Ouch.

You know it’s an exciting, action-packed episode when it starts and ends with Damon wet and naked… and those scenes are merely an afterthought.

While Damon did utter some classic lines this week (Vervain is an “acquired taste,” he isn’t that tall, etc.), there’s not much to pick apart about him at this point. We get it: he loves Elena, he can’t have Elena, he constantly struggles between good and evil. I love the character, but there’s little new to say about that cycle right now.

Fortunately, this installment was a great platform for Caroline, Stefan and Tyler, while it did an tremendous job introducing Brady. It’s easy to understand everyone’s viewpoint in this burgeoning bloodbath, which is a sign of great writing.

Caroline is still new at this vampire thing and was trying to protect her friends, but when it backfired, she cut ties with Tyler. In response, he went back to the only real family he has right now – and can you blame him? His dad is dead, his uncle is dead and Jules is talking about a code of honor and loyalty. He could use a lot of that right now.

Stefan, meanwhile, is always trying to play peacemaker, but had no choice but to fight back when confronted in the woods. Can’t imagine that brawl (one of the best filmed, most tense sequences in show history) will go a long way toward helping him earn Tyler’s trust.

Then there’s Brady. He’s a villain, sure. But he’s just living the life he knows. He’s likely grown up around those who instilled in him a mortal hatred for vampires. I’m certainly not rooting for him in this feud (the guy doesn’t even have a superhero haircut), but I appreciate that he comes across as a multi-dimensional character.

So any comment about this episode?

Before, the threat for Howard when it comes to Bernadette was Rick Fox. Now, it is Raj!

But don’t worry, remember that Raj has limitations and I’m so excited how will this spoiler turn out on the next episode. Read the TV Guide spoiler below.

Unlike Glenn, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) isn’t actively pursuing Bernadette — at least not yet. But his feelings toward her enter a gray area on Thursday’s episode when he fantasizes about his best friend’s gal after she calls him a “hottie.”

“I guess the only way people fantasize about me is if I compliment them,” Rauch jokes. “[The hottie comment] ignites his fantasies. ‘Oh, she compliments me; therefore, I can fantasize about her.’ Maybe no girl has ever complimented him before.”

Contrary to assumption, there are no geeky elements — like, say, a Princess Leia get-up — in Raj’s fantasy, Rauch assures, but rather an “extremely theatrical” Bollywood ode to his roots. And for a guy who’s a selective mute around the ladies, it’s quite romantic as well.

So what do you think about this development?

Lets admit it, NCIS is still one of the most watched TV series now. Fresh off its record ratings night – 22.8 million people watched this week’s episode – NCIS has been officially renewed by CBS. Season nine will commence in September.

TV’s #1 drama will likely make it at least a decade, too. Mark Harmon signed a new, two-year contract with the network, keeping Gibbs at the helm through 2012-13.

Most of the cast also signed extensions at the end of last season, which should allow the hit procedural to continue its unprecedented success for years to come.

“It’s simply amazing that a show in its eighth season continues to perform at such an elite level,” Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement.

“This is a tribute to the hard work of its talented writers, producers and cast for bringing to life these compelling stories and characters with intrigue and humor.”Fresh off its record ratings night – 22.8 million people watched this week’s episode – NCIS has been officially renewed by CBS. We are all excited to see what will happen on the season finale of The Vampire Diaries Season 2. Good thing TV Guide is there to tell us something about it.

Settle in and prepare for a major preview of what’s to come over the next few weeks/months in Mystic Falls…

There unforeseen alliances ahead. So says Paul Wesley, while Plec says the vampire/werewolf war will escalate and “the next few episodes take us down the road of what Tyler knows, what he learns and how it impacts his friendships with Caroline and Matt.”

Remember that previously teased flashback? It will show us a side of Stefan that is “very Damon-esque,” Wesley says. “He’s lost and he doesn’t know what to do with himself. He’s living in guilt, so he is just sinful and lustful. We get some blood addiction. We’re going back to his days of heavy usage.”

Say Uncle: The return of John Gilbert will challenge Jenna, Sara Canning says, as her former lover will cause problems for the “system [Jenna] has built and how hard she’s worked to really build a home for” Elena and Jeremy.

Tomb it may concern: Katherine is “plotting her way out” of the tomb,” Nina Dorev warns. “She’s a woman who likes to be in control and when she’s not, she’s not happy and that’s not a good thing right now.”

On witch side? Regarding Luka and Jonas, Plec says: “We learn a lot more over the next few episodes about why they’re with Elijah, what it is they want, what’s driving them, what side they stand on and where they stand with each other as father and son. Their relationship gets really complicated and it really complicates Bonnie’s life specifically as she learns more and more about them.”

SEASON FINALE TEASE: “We have one more full moon that will be upon us before we hit the end of the season,” Plec says. “Bad, bad things are going to happen as a result of that full moon. We also have this impending ritual – the sacrifice that will break the curse of the sun and the moon. That’s where we’ll end our season.”

So are you excited to see the finale?

I know Smallville fans are definitely eager to see its 2011 premiere. So what can we expect from Smallville’s return? Well, one thing is the jacket shown below.

On the February 18 (titled “Masquerade”) episode of this hit, Clark Kent will don the Superman jacket for the very first time. So what do you think about the jacket?

One good quality of a TV series is its ability to bring surprises! For this week’s episode of Off the Map, I think they definitely achieved to surprise us although some are annoyed to some transformations.

TV Fanatic: In “On the Mean Streets of San Miguel,” Abuelito, played by Ralph Waite, is a beloved, elderly man being told he has terminal cancer and then, with a couple of lines of dialogue and a frightening look in his eyes, he becomes a former Nazi soldier.

The sudden transformation was disconcerting.

How could a man who had done such good over the past half century be guilty of such evil? How could no one have seen it? As Otis said, sometimes no matter how well you think you know some one, you may not know them at all.

Mina grows on me each week but this time it wasn’t for her sarcastic wit, but for her dogged determination. She truly believed this man should have to face some sort of judgment for his crimes. That his victims’ families had the right to know he had been found.

Mina was going to keep her patient alive and if Ryan wasn’t going to help her then she better step out of the way.

Then we have Lily who seems to swing between pining for Ben to being angry with him and back again. When she sees him as the wounded widower out to save the world Lily looks at him with starry-eyed devotion.

When she sees him in a lip lock with Ryan she is hurt and jealous. But what will her reaction be once she processes Ben’s confession; That he has kept his brain dead wife alive for five years so that he can access her trust fund to keep the clinic running?

Things are definitely getting complicated in the jungle.

Next we have Ben’s fling with Ryan. If you’ve been on again / off again for a year can you still call it a fling. For someone who plays the lonely widower Ben sure doesn’t seem to be very lonely. Oh, and of course he isn’t officially a widower either. Details.

I loved Ryan and Zee’s machete therapy but the way they swung that thing made me want to duck. I wouldn’t get near these ladies when they’re angry.

Let them take it out on the jungle.

So what’s your reaction on this episode?

Good thing it comes when I needed most it.

On the heels of ABC announcing plans for a Charlie’s Angels remake this fall, Chuck producer Chris Fedak says his show is about to “pay homage” to this classic series.

On February 14, look for Mini Anden to reprise her role as Sarah’s former spy pal, Carina Miller. She won’t arrive on the scene alone, either, as Fedak tells Michael Ausiello viewers can expect “a wild bunch” when Mercedes Masöhn and Mircea Monroe also guest star and form “The Cat Squad.”

Elsewhere: Isaiah Mustafa and Stacy Keibler will return later this season as Greta, as Fedak promises the series “will explain what the whole Greta thing is about.”

This week’s episode of NCIS, “Freedom”, is somehow tricky. We all thought that it is the wife until…

Elsewhere, McGee hilariously had his identity stolen.

As far as the murder mystery, “Freedom” was fairly boilerplate stuff, lacking a bit of the urgency and some of the lightning-quick twists we’ve grown accustomed to.

By accustomed, we mean spoiled of course. As they say (or at least I do), an average episode of NCIS is still better than a good installment of almost anything else.

The dead Marine’s wife was not only a Marine herself, but a better one than he. Georgia Wooten excelled, earning promotions and training in martial arts, while he was average.

Her unemotional reaction to his death, coupled with a shady non-alibi and apparent disguising of domestic abuse she suffered at Travis’ hands, made her an easy mark for Gibbs.

You kept feeling there would be an unexpected turn, however, and there was. Yet it felt a little too obvious by the time it was revealed. Who else could it have been? Just one guy.

With the mistress ruled out and the wife a sympathetic figure, that left bar owner Len (Melrose Place’s Thomas Calabro), who had feelings for Georgia and wanted to protect her.

The murder weapon was a pool cue, as determined by Abby’s analysis of the size, dimension and unique varnish. It seemed like they would have figured that out sooner, but hey.

What was most intriguing about the case was not the evidence or the unfolding mystery but the fact that this powerful woman, a Marine martial arts trainer, was an abuse victim.

Sounds like someone we know. Ziva opened up to Georgia about similar abuse she suffered and made some inroads, although this could have been extrapolated upon further.

It seemed like a prime opportunity for Ziva’s character to shine – relating to a suspect similarly strong, powerful, yet vulnerable – but the plot quickly moved in other directions.

Flashes of the old Ziva are better than nothing, I guess.

Like Georgia killing Travis, Tony being responsible for McGee’s identity theft seemed obvious and maybe too sinister. Not that he didn’t delight in McMiserables’ woes, of course.

Thanks to DiNozzo’s fine detective work, the culprit was brought in on charges … of spying on and punking Tim. That kid had to be about 10. McGee’s landlord’s son of all people.

The pre-teen had Tim’s routine down, so he knew how and when to strike. The funniest part was his telling Tim to get a life. We all know he needs to, but coming from a 10-year-old …

Maybe he should be glad he doesn’t have much of a life outside work. Tony brags that he does, but he’s the one who knew exactly how to deflate that blow-up doll. Just saying.

Indeed, “Worried Baby Blues” is a fun episode.

Also, there is some serious part. What is it? According to TV Fanatic, a more serious tone was taken between the pregnancy and Travis’ case.

I had been looking forward to this awesome calendar shoot, yet somehow it was over in the first few minutes of the show. This definitely could have been more enjoyable and I wish it had carried on longer. Everyone looked great, especially Lewis in his Santa suit.

A lot of the secondary characters were back, bringing storylines with them… well, mostly. Jake returned with his involvement in Travis’ case; Red made moves on Vanessa; and Derrick was just… there. I do have to admit that the kiss between Red and Vanessa was hot. They have much more chemistry than she possesses with Derrick.
There was a lot of focus on Charlotte’s pregnancy, with Savannah giving the news to her mom. I’m interested to see how this situation plays out, but I hope that doesn’t mean too much time spent with their parents.

I have been skeptical about the whole Travis case from the beginning. I get that Marti is in school to be a lawyer, but I never really found any of this relevant to the other parts of the show. After finding out that Jake was involved in the pharmacy robbery, I’m a tad intrigued. I just hope that this doesn’t become an over the top development; the guys getting out of the SUV following Marti was a little extreme for me.

Overall, I like this episode. So what about you?
