More spoilers for season 4 of Sons of Anarchy.

Clay will have difficulty holding on to his Presidency this season on Sons of Anarchy, as his hand arthritis worsens.

“He’s seeing his days are numbered,” the actress told EW of her on-screen husband. “These are people who live off the grid. They don’t have retirement funds. They live paycheck-to-paycheck, so to speak. He’s realizing he’s gong to have to come up with a bigger plan. This is their bread and butter, and pretty soon, he’s not going to be able to be involved in that.”

Sagal also teased a “splintering” of the group that will be the focus of season four… which premieres on September 6 with a 90-minute episode. I’ve already seen it and trust me when I say this: you won’t be disappointed.

Katey Sagal admitted something at today’s Television Critics Association press panel about Sons of Anarchy season 4.

But “this season feels different, but splintered in another way,” she told reporters. “There’s a lot of internal struggle that goes on this season.”

Yes, there will be external pressure and new foes for SAMCRO to go up against after the members completely their 14-month prison break on the premiere – Ray McKinnon portrays a prosecutor and Rockmond Dunbar is on board as Charming’s new sheriff – but the “idea always is to use those external pressures to incubate what’s going on inside the club,” previewed creator Kurt Sutter.

Emmy winner Paris Barclay, meanwhile, has taken over as executive producer and lead director, comparing Sutter to David Milch and Aaron Sorkin and saying: “You only get maybe two or three chances to find a show where the passion is as good as the writing is as good as the cast.”

We couldn’t agree more.

Sons of Anarchy season 4 premieres on September 6.

Guys from Sons of Anarchy visited Comic-Con 2011 and they gave us useful spoilers.

The event kicked off with a trailer for season four, which included footage of SAMCRO getting out of jail. Jax has a new haircut and Sutter’s Big Otto makes an appearance on screen.

Sutter confirms that we’ll pick up 14 months after events on the finale, time that Jax apparently spent contemplating the kidnapping of his son and what this means for his life:

“That 14 months was spent doing some pretty intense soul-searching and trying to figure out how he’s going to balance his life in the club and how to look after his babies… Some difficult decisions are going to have to be made down the line.”

(In an interview with me immediately prior to the panel, which will go live this week, Hunnam teased an engagement to Tara and the possibility that Jax might leave the club. )

What is going on with Gemma on the September 6 premiere?

She’s happy, Sagal said: “The babies are coming home, the guys are coming home, things are a little lucrative… [but that] doesn’t really last that long.”

Below you can check other Sons of Anarchy season 4 spoilers:

  • Rockmond Dunbar coming on board as the new sheriff will allow the show to explore racial tension in Charming.
  • Sutter, on Jax and Tara’s status: “There’s a deeper commitment to family than ever before. I would characterize that relationship as more important to him.”
  • Sutter joked that he likes to hurt Otto every season because it “personifies” what it’s like to be a showrunner.
  • And, finally, take us home, Kurt: “There’s as many, if not more, fucked-up things this season than ever before.”

We already featured that Sons of Anarchy season 4 will bring SAMCRO vs. SAMTAZ. But is there something else to expect?

“To a certain extent, the greatest foe the club will have is the club,” the series creator told EW. “It’s about the internal foes, which I think are much worse than the external foes this season.”

Sutter also considers the season ahead to be “act 2” of the ongoing mythology.

“A lot of what happens this season is a direct result narratively and emotionally of what happened in Ireland in season 3 and how that bounces off of Jax, Gemma and Clay,” he said. “[We’re] setting up, emotionally, the bigger arc of the series in terms of where it all might go. I think we get a taste of that this season – where it’s going to go.”

So what do you expect now for season 4?

Sons of Anarchy has a heart too. On the season 4 premiere, we will see a wedding. Have a first look!

On the season premiere, titled “Out,” look for Opie and Lyla to get married.

All is not perfect in this union, however, as Winter Ave Zoli (Lyla) tells Entertainment Weekly:

”Last season Lyla had an abortion without telling Opie, soo now it’s on her conscience.”

What can you say about the photo?

Time to see what Kurt Sutter has to say about Sons of Anarchy season 4.
The episode that start to air in September, however, feel “very potent,” Sutter writes, adding:
“We’re back in Charming, we’re out of jail and we’re making money. With that upswing, comes all the complications that success and power bring. Season four is all about the club. The personalities, the history, the alliances, the conflicts — the inside dynamics of an organized outlaw enterprise. Ego, greed, violence and fear reign supreme. I’m halfway through the cut of 401 and it’s pretty fucking badass.”
I hope they’ll start season 4 with a bang!

Ray McKinnon is set to join Sons of Anarchy season 4.

The actor, best known for portraying Reverend Smith on Deadwood, will come on board the FX drama as a prosecutor described by the network as “an independent thinker and somewhat odd.” Look for him to target the renegade biker boys.

He won’t be the only one setting his sights on the Sons, either. Rockmond Dunbar will guest star next season as the new sheriff in Charming.
