What happened Luke? And what are the other things that happened on episode 6 of Rookie Blue?

It’s not nice to sleep with a girl and then not return her phone calls. Did Luke really believe he could tell Jo it was all a mistake and move on? He swore to her that he was happy, but how happy can he be if he’s having an afternoon quickie with his ex?!?

Luke’s smarter than that, right? Perhaps not.

He even followed all of the typical cheater cliches. Between his lies and cover-ups, he showered Andy with romantic gifts to assuage his guilt. Then, when his credit card was found at the hotel, he panicked and moved up the wedding. Oh, what a mess.

Poor Andy was stuck working with Jo and had no idea what was headed her way. When Jo kicked Andy out of the interrogation, Luke defended the former, saying “She’s got her own rhythm.” Yup. Luke would know.

Or how about when Jo alluded to Andy being the weakest member of the pack? Talk about passive aggressive, but I had no doubt that that’s how Jo viewed her.

When reality hit, Andy must have felt like she got hit by a ton of bricks AND a mack truck. To her credit, there were no tearful scenes or big fights and she didn’t take her hurt and anger out on Jo. Andy simply went home, packed a bag, asked Luke why, and departed.

I loved that she told Luke she left the ring in the lock box where she found it. The horrible realization that Luke never actually gave her the ring or specifically asked her to marry him must have sunk in. Ugh.

I wonder if she’ll ever know that the ring was really meant for Jo. I hope not. No one deserves to feel like second best.

There were no Sam and Andy scenes, but this wasn’t about them. It was about the end of Andy and Luke. My guess is we won’t be seeing Sam and Andy together this season. She’s got to get over this whole debacle and she doesn’t need Sam as her rebound guy. But having him around as a friend would be nice.

In actual police matters, Jerry lost his informant. Then he found him, dead. The investigation led to a lonely 17-year old girl who thought her pimp was the love of her life.

Was anybody upset that the girl smacked Jo in the head to get away? No? I didn’t think so. Jo almost seemed to be taking her frustrations with Andy out on Dina.

Jo was right about one thing: Dina was the weak member of the pack. She was so desperate to have somebody love her that she’d willingly go to prison for a guy who wanted her dead. Believing that Andy was similarly weak was where Jo got it wrong.

I found Gail’s mom downright creepy. Her entire demeanor felt like finger nails on a blackboard. She was a bully hiding behind a pixie haircut and a sweet voice. That certainly explains a lot about Gail, huh? I wish Gail would have stood up to her mother, but watching Chris do it was the next best thing.

Basically, this is a fine episode for Rookie Blue. But I’m expecting more from this show. I hope they deliver next week.

Episode 5 of Rookie Blue season 2 gave us some relationship transformation. Kinda vague huh? Read below.

TV Fanatic: Jo was like a predator stalking her prey in a tight shirt and a pretty smile, while “Stung” also gave us a glimpse at Luke and Jo’s past – and a shocking look at their future.

Well, I wasn’t completely shocked, especially after Jo answered the door in only her panties. Why did she take her pants off to answer the door during an undercover operation? Oh yes, that’s right. It was to seduce Luke.

So Luke gave up a promotion to stay with Jo only to have her take the same promotion and leave him. Ouch! That means he’s been nursing a broken heart and a wounded ego for a long time now. Was Andy just a bandaid?

Not that he was doing it consciously, but Andy’s going to get crushed, nevertheless. I only hope Swarek’s around to help her pick up the pieces.

How long do you think Luke’s been waiting to hear that Jo regretted her decision? Once she admitted it, it was like the dam broke and all of that underlying passion couldn’t be denied.

My only question is whether Luke’s going to man up and tell Andy the truth because I don’t see Jo backing down or going away.

On other fronts, the car giveaway sting was a lot of fun and Dov was right. Swarek was in his glory.

Dov’s bomb scare rendered some interesting results and a couple of strange quirks.

Such as, did anyone else notice the guy in the bomb suit was outside while the cute chick in the t-shirt went in and saved Dov. That was a little odd.

When Dov emerged unscathed, was Gail’s hug just a little longer than necessary? Then in the locker room she seemed to act the role of the upset lover more than concerned roommate.

When Chris pulled his application for the Mounted Patrol so Dov had a better chance at it, the two made a pact. From now on, if it’s something they really want they will both go after it and may the best man win.

Overall, I love how this season of Rookie Blue is dealing with its characters and stories.

Another fast phase episode for Rookie Blue! Wow! Episode 4 titled “Heart & Sparks” brought some exciting events and I really liked them.

TV Fanatic: She’s a good detective, still in love with Luke and… a possible psycho? Okay, that classification may be a little harsh, but did you see the death glare she gave Andy? And did you catch this exchange?

Andy: So what, you love something you set it free?
Jo: Not me. Me I like to keep the things I love close. Hold them in a death grip and never let them go. | permalink
To summarize: Luke’s engaged to Andy. Sam’s in love with Andy and Jo looks as though she’s had enough of this doe-eyed rookie.

I hope Andy doesn’t have a pet rabbit because Jo’s beginning to resemble Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

Andy’s trying so hard with Luke, but Sam’s the one in whom she confides. She’s engaged to Luke, but Sam’s her best friend. He’s the one who is there when it matters. It’s confusing enough for me to write. Can you imagine living in it?

Poor Sam’s in a no-win situation. Andy’s engaged. She’s made her choice. Sam’s trying to be a good friend but his true feelings for Andy can’t be denied.  Even Ollie can see it.

Chris’ back story’s heartbreaking, but I love the growth between Gail and Dov. They’re having late night video game marathons and confiding in one another. Even as just friends these two have great chemistry.

The minute Traci couldn’t find her cell phone I knew where that story would end. I’m just happy the truth came out. What she’s doing is unfair to her ex. It’s time to come clean and make a choice.

In the end, Jo’s version of Florence Nightengale involves trashing flowers, popping balloons, and eating Luke’s chocolates. Much to Andy’s dismay, it’s just what he needs. After all, Andy makes Luke smile, but Jo makes him laugh.

Any comment about this episode?

We will see Andy and Sam for another season as ABC confirmed that Rookie Blue is set for a third season.

While ABC has not released an official statement yet, Rookie Blue star Missy Peregrym Tweeted that her show has been picked up for another season yesterday. She sounded pretty excited about it, too:

The show was picked up for a second season after three episodes last summer, as well. It averages over 5.5 million viewers per week, a decent figure for a summer network series.

What do you want to see on season 3?

Rookie Blue season 2 gave us another solid episode with “Bad Moon Rising.”

TV Fanatic: For the second time this season, the show managed to surprise me. I was expecting some suspenseful moments in “Bad Moon Rising” – I thought we’d see Luke in jeopardy, trying to talk down a suspect that was after Andy – but when those shots were fired, I was in shock.

also loved how they filmed it. Luke didn’t fall to the ground immediately. He stood there, gasping as the blood started to drain from his body, as the pain took over. He then fell to the floor, unable to do anything as his shooter walked past him.

The investigation that got us to that point was creepy fun. A schizophrenic off his medication, carrying around a bag full of severed heads in the trunk. What more could you ask for? Even Luke was envious that Jerry caught the case. Hey, how’d you get so lucky.

Elsewhere, Dov and Gail’s contentious relationship continued. I liked that Gail’s the only one willing to tell Dov the truth, but the fact is Dov didn’t seem to know how to do the job any other way. As much as these two annoy one another, they always care. Will there be a second love triangle this season or is this simply the start of a wonderfully complex friendship?

But let’s go back and cover the ring: The minute I saw the look on Luke’s face as Andy held the ring, I knew it was Jo’s. Did Luke really think that didn’t matter?

No girl wants to know you bought the ring on her finger for someone else. Seriously, men! When Andy finds out, it’s going to break her heart.

Of course, everyone congratulated her and Luke. Well, almost everyone. Jo looked so hurt and I can’t say I blamed her. Even though she turned Luke down, it’s horrible to feel like you’ve been replaced, especially when the guy is using the same ring. Sorry. I really can’t get over that.

As Andy described the proposal to Sam (“It was spontaneous and romantic. It’s a good thing.”) did it sound like she was trying to convince Sam or herself? The latter, I say.

I like Luke, I really do. But Sam and Andy have some intense chemistry. You could see it as Sam slammed on that door until it opened. He was frantic to get to her. Or how about the fact that Andy smiles when she’s with Luke, but she laughs when she’s with Sam?

Unfortunately Luke’s shooting will only complicate matters. I predict Andy will be the doting fiance and help him through his recovery, and, if that final scene is any indication, Sam and Jo will grow closer.

So far Rookie Blue season 2 is so impressive. I hope they continue giving us episodes like this.

Life is all about choices. Things “Might Have Been” that way, simply because you wanted it that way. This is what episode 2 of Rookie Blue showed us last night. Let’s discuss the episode below.

TV Fanatic: Andy’s undercover musings gave us and Sam some ideas about why she chose Luke. He’s a good guy; he loves Andy; and he’s not afraid to tell her so.

As much as all of that’s true, I still have the feeling that Luke was a more of a choice she made with her head than her heart. Don’t you?

Still, Andy was definitely a little worried about Luke working so closely with Jo and it looked like she might have reason to be. Was it just me, or did Jo look like she would have jumped all over a night with Luke, girlfriend be damned?

Meanwhile, Traci simply couldn’t stay away from Jerry. I’ve never been a huge fan of these two – or, should I say, I’ve never been a huge fan of Jerry. Unfortunately, Traci seemed to be unable to avoid the attraction.

Poor Dov. He started with the best of intentions and it led him straight to the dark side. Going to Beatrice’s home after hours and alone was just dumb. He’s been a cop long enough to know how unpredictable domestic violence calls can be and he obviously suspected that was what was happening here.

Then, when it all hit the fan, he tried anything to save himself, including dragging his friends down with him. I was so disappointed in Dov when he asked Chris to lie on his behalf.

For that alone, he deserved to get stuck on probation. Panic led to extremely poor judgement yet again. Luckily, Chris had the brains to say no to his friend.

Lastly, I enjoyed how Oliver figured out that Patrick was dirty, even if there wasn’t much he could do about it. His choice was to confront the man so he knew someone was on to him.

Overall, those choices will determine what will happen next on Rookie Blue. So let’s just all wait on what will happen next week. What are your expectations?

What a scintillating season 2 premiere for Rookie Blue! Full of surprises, what a way to start this season!

TV Fanatic: Seriously, did anyone out there expect Kate’s blood to splatter across Andy’s face? Or Andy to take a bullet to the vest? Me neither.

Overall, I’m not alone in considering Rookie Blue to be the lightweight Grey’s Anatomy of police dramas. After watching “Butterflies, I still believe that – but I mean it as a compliment.

As season two began, the characters appeared more focused and the relationships more complex. I appreciated Andy’s reaction to Kate getting shot. Her first response was to virtually ignore the bullet she took and to tell everyone that she was fine.

Sam’s reaction was perfectly played. He couldn’t figure out whether to hold, kiss, or just walk away, grateful that Andy was alive. Each emotion played out over his face as he touched her, trying to convince himself she was okay. Then he spotted a suspect and immediately slipped back into cop mode.t.

His feelings for Andy were running just below the surface. How long do you think it will be before this triangle heats up again?

Then there’s newcomer Jo Rosati, who fit in well as Luke’s jealous former lover. She was all business. Now that she’ll be joining the team, we’ll see what kind of complications she’ll create for Luke and Andy’s office romance. And how will Andy handle it when Rosati’s eyeing Sam? Does that love triangle become a quadrangle? Ben Bass hinted as much.

The opening scenes told us that Luke and Andy have now moved in together. The latter felt as though all was right in her world both personally and professionally. “It’s different now,” she said. “It’s like I know where everything belongs.” No that lasts very long.

Across town, Gail and Chris were shacking up, much to fellow roommate Dov’s discomfort. Three’s definitely a crowd when sharing one bathroom.

Dov’s backstory about his brother Adam’s suicide gave Gail new insight and understanding into his character. I look forward to see how this trio deal with both working and living together.

Rookie Blue is the next big thing when it comes to police drama. This is a great show and I can’t wait to see episode 2.

Make way Rookie Blue fans, Camille Sullivan will surely start season 2 with a strong impression.

The actress comes on board as Detective Jo Rosati , clashes with Andy and has a connection with Eric Johnson’s Luke: she’s his ex-girlfriend.

“She makes Andy’s life hell,” Missy Peregrym tells E! News. “[Rasati] wants Luke. She regrets the decision that they broke up. It’s really complicated this year with relationships.”

As for the main relationship on the show, the one many viewers hope gets taken to a new, naked level this summer, the actress had the following to say about Andy and Sam:

“Naturally, we really care about one another. Because he’s not my training officer, it’s more available to happen this year.”

Rookie Blue season 2 will premiere on June 23 with the episode titled “Butterflies.”
