Today, we live in the Information Age. This is where a lot of changes to our way of life occurs. Before, almost everything was manually done. Computers were big, bulky, expensive and impractical. But now, almost everything is being done by a computer. In simpler terms, it is now automated. The Internet is now the “big player” when it comes to improving certain products. A lot of products and gadgets right now are connected to the Internet and are now becoming more and more like a computer.
Samsung Galaxy S4
Samsung has been the only real competitor of Apple in both the Smart phone and Tablet market. They have been at each other’s throat. Ranging from competing in sales, even up to the court room. Apple’s iPhone and iPad merchandises use the popular iOS technology. Samsung, and other phones and tablets, use the uprising Android technology. The battle between the two titans are still going. Apple released its iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, while Samsung released Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy S4 is rumored to be released on May of 2013. Let us look on the rumored “features” of this product.
Galaxy S4 Specs
There have not been a released final specification list for the Galaxy S4. There are however rumors on the specification of the said gadget.
First of the rumors is that the Galaxy S4 would have a quad core chip that would be based on ARM’s A15 Architecture. To many people that would be “so last gen”. But take note, this is still a rumor and not the final spec. Other people would love to see the S4 having an Octo-core on the phone. Making multi-tasking and doing very resource intensive activities easier. The Exynos 5440 quad-core chip have been shown in the Samsung website so more likely that would be the chip that would be integrated in the upcoming S4. However, the Exynos Octa was announced at CES 2013 which may also give a hint for Samsung to integrate that certain technology into the S4.
Another rumor is that though it would have a thinner design, flash memory would be written up to 10x more than the flash memory of S3.
For the Operating System of the phone, more likely it would implement the more mature version of Android 4.2 “Jelly Bean”. However, there are a lot of rumors floating around that S4 would coincide with the upcoming Android version from Google called Key Lime Pie.
The camera on the S4 might be at least 10MP but it is still a rumor. Since the Xperia series of Samsung have 13MP cameras attached, they might as well attach a better camera for the S4.
A physical home button might be implemented rather than the usual design. It would have a sleeker design than the S3. Rumors say that it would have a glass face. Meaning it would have a better and more expensive look than it did before. However, it can be bad for the phone since S3 has a plastic face which protects that phone.
