After the season 3 finale of Castle, which is really a game changer, viewers are asking on what can we expect on the most anticipated season 4. Well, we have creator Andrew Marlowe’s interview and he gave us lots of spoilers.

Here is Marlowe’s interview with EW.

“I think the finale was a great way to chapter out on the early portion of the Beckett-Castle relationship and to transition us to the even more complex more mature aspects of their relationship as we move forward,” Marlowe said.

“I think that even though Castle is still kind of a charming, boyish man, we see an enormous amount of growth in him over the last three years towards a kind of maturity. It doesn’t mean Castle’s going to lose his boyish charm.”

“It just means that he’s becoming more complex and interesting. The same with Beckett, a character who started off being relatively closed off.”

Specifically, Marlowe pointed to the scene in the finale where Montgomery tells Beckett that she “wasn’t having any fun” before Castle came along as an example of the kind of growth he likes to see from the pair.

“We’ve really seen her start to open up to both Castle and to the audience, and there are more mysteries to mine in both of these characters, as there are in the secondary characters, but I think that this marks a new and different chapter in their relationship.”

“We’re not looking to fundamentally change the show, we’re just looking to enhance it and make the experience even richer and more satisfying for the fans.”

At least now, we have some ideas on what to expect. But do you have other thoughts about Castle season 4?

I can still feel the OMG moments on the season 3 finale of Castle. But let’s move on as creator Andrew Marlowe gives us some spoilers on what to expect for Castle season 4.

“Everybody’s getting along really well in the precinct, and we think there can be a little more conflict. We think it’s interesting to grow Beckett and Castle by having somebody who may not look as favorably on Beckett as the Captain did or may not look as favorably on the Castle-Beckett relationship. That’s all stuff we’re plotting out for next year as we speak.”

“We have a great concept of how we want to follow that up in the next couple of seasons. That’s going to be vital in some decisions I’m making going into next season. We foreshadowed it a bit with Castle having to protect Beckett from herself at the end of the episode. Next season, with Castle knowing somebody is out there, Beckett becomes his responsibility. It changes the nature of their relationship and makes it significantly more interesting, especially given what happens the last 10 seconds of the show.”

“During Season 4 there will be some payoff to what he said in that moment. It’s not going to necessarily come the way the fans like. And I’m sure some of them will feel like I’ve skirted the issue initially and then come to realize that I’ve dealt with it in an interesting character way. The questions are going to be answered. I think people felt like we dropped the kiss or we dropped the freezing together, but it was always my intention to bring it up as a relationship issue [in the finale]. Hopefully people will be interested to see how we deal with it next year, and how we overcome the argument they’ve had in the middle of this episode. The issue of ‘Why aren’t we talking about this? Why aren’t we confronting it?’”

“There’s going to be a real push and pull between Beckett and Castle. Beckett’s going to want to look into this new mystery man and Castle’s going to have very specific reasons why he doesn’t want her to. He’ll end up with a little more information than she has, and he can’t be honest with her about it. It’s going to cause a complexity in their relationship that’s going to be interesting.”

The season 3 finale of Castle left one question: Who is the boss?

Luckily, Castle creator Andrew Marlowe gave few hints in an interview with TV Guide:

Will we meet a new boss? That’s one of the opportunities we’re looking to take. Everybody’s getting along really well in the precinct, and we think there can be a little more conflict. We think it’s interesting to grow Beckett and Castle by having somebody who may not look as favorably on Beckett as the Captain did or may not look as favorably on the Castle-Beckett relationship. That’s all stuff we’re plotting out for next year as we speak.

About that mystery man connected to Johanna Beckett’s murder… Next season, with Castle knowing somebody is out there, Beckett becomes his responsibility. It changes the nature of their relationship and makes it significantly more interesting, especially given what happens the last 10 seconds of the show.

What else can be previewed about season four? There’s going to be a real push and pull between Beckett and Castle. Beckett’s going to want to look into this new mystery man and Castle’s going to have very specific reasons why he doesn’t want her to. He’ll end up with a little more information than she has, and he can’t be honest with her about it. It’s going to cause a complexity in their relationship that’s going to be interesting.

So what can you say about the answers? Are you excited for Castle season 4?

WTF! OMG!

We are all warned that the season 3 finale of Castle will be stunning and a game changer. But the warning isn’t enough as I was still stunned by the events on episode 24 titled “Knockout.”

It’s one of the best season finale this summer so let’s start digging in.

Although this series is usually known for its wild and absurd cases, they throw in some serious ones here and there. The finale was serious and boy did it deliver. Five minutes in and there was already a shoot out. I had to rewind my DVR several times to take everything in and now that it’s over, I’m still in shock.

This case has been three seasons in the making. It kept popping up without any real information getting out. Tonight, that finally all changed. After more digging into the case, Castle found an altered police file, leading them to believe a third cop was involved. In all my wildest dreams would I ever have thought that Captain Montgomery was it. Game Changer #1.

Spoilers had clued us in that someone was going to die. I had suspicions it would be the Captain, but not because of a shoot out over him being involved in the case. Totally blew my mind. I’m going to miss Captain Montgomery. He was an excellent part of the cast.

Game Changer #2. We still don’t know who is behind the whole thing. Someone hired Lockwood to take care of these people and I can not wait until next season to find out who it was. Beckett may be in the clear for now, but I am sure Castle will deliver an equally awesome episode to let us find out.

My heart broke a little bit watching Montgomery’s family at the funeral and having the detectives (and even Castle!!) carry in the casket. Who would have thought that Game Changer #3 was about to happen? Kate got shot! Obviously the writers can not kill off Stana Katic’s character, but I did not see that coming. Castle pulled a Vampire Diaries having two of the main characters get shot in one episode. Well done.

Beckett getting shot led to the best exchange of the night. “I love you Kate. Kate, I love you.” I thought that us shippers were really only going to get to enjoy the heated argument in Beckett’s apartment, but Castle finally made his move and said the words – even if it was as Kate was going unconscious. Game Changer #4. Hopefully when the series comes back in the fall, something will actually happen between the two.

On a side note, Max Martini delivered another amazing performance as Hal Lockwood. The entire cast was awesome in “Knockout,” an episode I won’t soon be forgetting.

After this season 3 finale I have lots of questions such as: who is the mastermind behind Lockwood’s actions and what hangs in the balance for Beckett?

So what are your thoughts about Castle season 3 finale? What are your expectations for Castle season 4?

Another solid episode for Castle! “Pretty Dead” involves the murder of a beauty pageant contestant and I love it how the story was played.
Last week, Castle was fun in the sun in a different style of episode. Tonight, classic Castle reemerged with a dark and twisty case. This show is known for its twists, turns, and endless guessing about the murderer. Yet, do you ever think that we twist one too many times? It is very rare that I feel like this, but this case just didn’t fit like it usually does. The hour was great, but the case itself was not my favorite.
There were a few things to love about “Pretty Dead.” First, how great did Teri Polo look? I couldn’t help but get excited at seeing Pam Focker on my screen.
Secondly, does Amanda Schull creep anyone else out? After her crazy stint on One Tree Hill, she popped back up on the small screen as another strange girl. Think it’s time to look for a new type of role!
After a very Caskett episode, “Pretty Dead” catered to Rick Castle all on his own. This installment highlighted him as a father and I really enjoyed his conversations with Alexis. Her crisis with Ashley provided a chance at some screen time for both herself and Martha. I have said it before that these characters need something fun to do. Sending Alexis off to Stanford might be a good idea…
Alexis’ situation also caused the few smiles and glances us shippers got to enjoy out of the couple
On a side note – where was Lanie at?
Overall, a pretty good episode 23 for Castle. And now, I’m excited for next week’s season finale. The spoilers are already out and you can check them out here on TSL.

Castle spoilers say that the season 3 finale will be dark. Dark in a way that death will surface on the said episode. Want proof? Andrew Marlowe has labeled the episode as “dark” in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“It was less of a decision to go dark and more of a decision to deal with Beckett’s mother’s murder, which of course makes her emotionally raw and means we have to take everything about the case very seriously,” Marlowe says. “It always challenges the Beckett/Castle relationship in terms of drawing them together or pushing them apart.”

This week’s Castle involves Beckett and Castle going west to investigate the murder of Mike Royce, who is Beckett’s former training officer. Lets dig in.

TV Fanatic: The murder of Royce made Kate go rouge. Rouge Beckett is equally, if not more fun that serious Beckett. Who knew our favorite detective could pick locks, jump off piers, and look amazing in a white t-shirt and jeans?

There were a few random things, starting with the quick guest appearance from Gene Simmons. As strange as it was, it totally served it’s purpose to find out both Castle and Beckett had once dressed up as him for Halloween. The case itself was also a little random, starting with murder and leading to the theft of dissolvable bullets. It didn’t even matter because the hour offered up a chance for us shippers to completely swoon.

As much fun as “To Love and Die in L.A.” was, there was one scene that totally made it – the hotel room. Castle and Beckett shared a sweet moment with Rick admitting that he is amazed by so much about her, including her hotness. Kate standing behind the door holding on to the handle had me shouting at the TV for her to run back into the room. It wouldn’t have been classic Castle if he had still been waiting for her. The awkward tension where a kiss should have taken place was the perfect setup for the end of the season.

On another note, Stana Katic can work a bathing suit! Castle’s reaction to her coming out of the pool was priceless. The letter Royce wrote to Beckett was a nice touch. Maybe him telling her what she has with Castle is real will send this couple in the right direction.

Overall, I love this episode because of the twists and chemistry of the cast. What do you think?

So is it time to say goodbye to Alexis?

Rick Castle, and fans of this ABC hit, may need to adjust to life without a member of the family next season. That’s because Castle creator Andrew Marlowe tells TV Guide he has plans for Alexis.

“Her boyfriend is going off to Stanford” Marlowe teases. “So how is the long-distance relationship going to work? When we leave Episode 23, Alexis has vowed to go to college early, because she has the credits, so she can be with Ashley.”

So what can you say about this spoiler?
