“The Karate Kid” remake won the blockbuster battle this week as it got an initial gross of $56,000,000 on US Box Office for June 11-13 weekend. Following it is another remake, but of a TV Series, entitled the “The A-Team.” Other than the two, there are no additional newcomers in this weekend’s box office top 10.

Here is US Weekend’s Box Office top 10 (June 11-13):

  1. The Karate Kid – $56,000,000
  2. The A-Team – $26,000,000
  3. Shrek Forever After – $15,800,000
  4. Get Him to the Greek – $10,100,000
  5. Killers – $8,170,000

August 13, 2010 is already a marked day for the greatest action film this year. “The Expendables” will feature a fully-loaded casts that we never saw since the “Ocean’s” franchise. Written, directed and starring Sylvester Stallone, this movie will also showcase other stars like Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke, Giselle Itie, Eric Roberts, David Zayas, Steve Austin, Bruce Willis and even Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Three new stills on the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” movie were released yesterday. The first photo shows Edward and Bella in snow. The two additional stills feature Dakota Fanning and the Volturi, and Xavier Samuel as Riley.
This movie is 18 days away so more stills are expected to be released in the next few days.

“Shrek Forever After” appears again on the top of US Weekend Box Office for three consecutive weeks. The fourth and final installment of the Shrek franchise got $25,300,000 weekend gross. It even outshined new releases like “Get Him to the Greek”, “Killers”, “Marmaduke” and “Splice”.
