Another reason for a guy like me to watch The Firm TV series.

Tricia Helfer – forever beloved for her role on Battlestar Galactica, but who has shown up since on everything from Chuck to Warehouse 13 to Franklin & Bash – has joined the cast of this midseason drama.

The series will star Josh Lucas as Mitch McDeere, the role Tom Cruise portrayed in the movie version of John Grisham’s best-seller.

Helfer, meanwhile, will play Alex Clark, the senior partner at Kinross & Clark, the shady firm referenced in the title. Also signed for the drama: Juliette Lewis as Mitch’s receptionist and Callum Keith Rennie as Mitch’s brother.

There is still no definite date for the premiere of The Firm but it will likely begin in January.

What do you want to see on season 7 of Bones? A baby girl or boy?

Right now, we don’t know the gender of Booth and Brennan’s future child. But Michaela Conlin (Angela) does, and says that by the second episode this fall, we will too.

Angela and Brennan will have plenty to talk about, considering Angela just had a baby and is in the process of trying to figure out how to be a working mom herself.

Clearly, Season 7 will be one of big adjustments for the team. The one saving grace, Conlin tells EW: “I heard there’s a full-time daycare in the Jeffersonian,” she says.

Breaking news for Covert Affairs fans. The final six episodes of season 2 will begin to run on November 1.

And at least one of those installments will be shot on location in Berlin and focus on Arthur. Here’s how:

German actress Nina Kronjager will guest star on the spy-themed series as Elsa Von Hagen, an ex-girlfriend of Arthur’s from his long-ago past… who disappeared, Ben-style, from his life.

“It wouldn’t be [flashbacks], but [her] coming out of the past,” producer Matt Corman told TV Guide earlier this month about Else’s re-appearance. “He was stationed there right before the Wall fell, so it’s got kind of a Cold War feel, but still contemporary. It’s a great episode.”

We have no doubt it will be.

What can you say on this news? What are your expectations for the last six episodes of this season?

Several major episodes were revealed by EP Gary Glasberg about NCIS season 9.

Suffice it to say, the brain trust is pulling out all the stops for the coming season and milestone event. Get ready for surprising stories and faces, new and old!

Glasberg promises the following to TV Guide:

  • A spring wedding for Palmer and Breena.
  • Tony’s father and Gibbs’ father will return.
  • A Ducky-centric episode introducing a new love interest.
  • A two-part November sweeps episode taking Gibbs overseas.
  • Abby’s brother. “The story is so lovely and unexpected,” says Glasberg, promising that this will change Abby’s whole perception of her past. “There is a big, stunning twist,” adds Pauley Perrette of the Abby episode.

For that 200th episode, “a unique, unexpected story to help us look back on everything prior.” In other words, expect to see Gibbs’ slain wife Shannon and daughter Kelly, plus Mike Franks, appear in this mega-storyline somehow.

One thing is sure on 90210 season 4 – Changes!

But Michael Steger says the transition from Rebecca Sinclair to Patti Carr and Lara Olsen as lead writers has been “seamless,” as cast members can go to the duo about anything and the focus is simply on making season four the best one ever for this CW hit.

What will it entail for Navid?

“He’s running the family business,” Steger said, adding that it’s switched from porn production to music video and commercial production. “But he’s still being haunted by his father’s past. Certain obstacles will present themselves and make life difficult.”

Chief among them? His father’s brother, Amal, who somehow got away with NOT being accused of child pornography.

“He thinks Navid is this naive kid who needs guidance, so he tries to play a mentor role,” Steger told me. “There’s a lot of animosity there.”

Of course, nothing can match the animosity of last season between Navid and Adrianna, as 90210 took one of its main characters down a dark, evil path. Is there any way she can be redeemed?

No, “it’s not possible,” Steger says. “She’s caused a ton of damages to a lot of essential characters, all the friends in her circle. But she’s trying, she’s on a path to redemption. It’s not working so far.”

The actor also tells viewers to look for “fun stuff” between Dixon and Navid, as the former will be getting into the music business and there will be plenty of opportunities for the two friends to work together. There will also be some “misunderstandings” along the way.

90210 season 4 premieres on September 13.

In the following images from “The Birthday,” we see Damon drinking, Alaric unshaven, Caroline dealing with the two main men in her life and Klaus confronting a werewolf named Ray. For what purpose?

We’ll find out on September 15.
