Ringer is one of the new shows this fall. I know you are excited like me to know what will happen or what can we expect on premiere. So make sure to check the spoilers below.

  • Bridget Kelly (Sarah Michelle Gellar, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) is six-months sober and starting to turn her life around when she is the sole witness in a murder trial.
  • Despite the assurances of her FBI protector, Agent Victor Machado (Nestor Carbonell,”Lost”), Bridget knows her life is on the line.
  • She flees to New York, telling no one, and reunites with her estranged twin, Siobhan Martin (Sarah Michelle Gellar). Wealthy, pampered and married to the strikingly handsome Andrew Martin (Ioan Gruffudd “Fantastic Four”), Siobhan lives what appears to be a fairy tale life – a life where no one knows that Bridget exists.
  • The sisters seem to be mending their frayed relationship – until Siobhan disappears mysteriously, and Bridget makes the split decision to take on her sister’s identity.
  • She discovers shocking secrets, not only about her sister and her marriage, but also about Siobhan’s best friend, Gemma Butler (Tara Summers, “Boston Legal”) and Gemma’s husband, Henry (Kristoffer Polaha “Life Unexpected“).

The pilot episode of Ringer airs on September 13.

Jason Dohring is coming to Ringer season 1.

Dohring, of Veronica Mars fame, will recur on the mysterious drama, which premieres on September 13.

The actor, who has also appeared on episodes of CSI and Lie to Me, has landed the role of Mr. Carpenter, a high school teacher at the school attended by Siobhan Martin’s stepdaughter, Juliet.

Siobhan is one of two characters portrayed by Gellar. This one fakes her death and has her identity taken over by sister Bridget. It will all make (more) sense once the pilot airs, we promise.

Billy Miller will recur on season 1 of Ringer as Charlie.

The All My Children and The Young and the Restless star has booked a recurring role on Ringer. He’ll first appear on the drama’s fifth episode as Charlie, a Narcotics Anonymous attendee who Bridget (one of the twins portrayed by Gellar on the new CW series) turns to for help.

Gellar, of course, got her big acting break on All My Children. She played Kendall Hart Lang for three seasons in the early 90s.

Ringer premieres on September 13

We are all excited for the debut season of Ringer. Let’s see what to expect.

Ringer is a new CW series about an alcoholic twin in the witness protection program, who meets up with her sibling and eventually takes on her sister’s identity when she allegedly kills herself.

Follow all that? If not, the show’s panel at yesterday’s Television Critics Association press tour didn’t exactly clear things up.

Co-creator Eric Charmelo said the series uses Damages as a model and will “play with time and perspective” throughout season one.

It will also re-introduce Sarah Michelle Gellar to TV audiences. The beloved actress portrays the roles of Siobhan and Bridget on Ringer, as well as Bridget pretending to be Siobhan.

“I think there are two or three flashbacks for me,” Gellar said. “The flashbacks are a great way to give answers to the story… You will see both Bridget and Siobhan present and past.”

Are you confused? Then watch the pilot on September 13.

A male cast is coming to Ringer season 1.

Justin Bruening, best known for his long-running role on All My Children, will appear on multiple episodes of the Sarah Michelle Gellar drama this fall. According to TV Line, Bruening will portray Tyler, a potential love interest for one of Gellar’s twins, Siobhan.

Bruening has guest-starred on Castle and was booked for NBC’s Wonder Woman, but that pilot was never picked up. He’ll first show up on the September 27 episode of Ringer.

Believe it or not it is only the second time for Sara Michelle Gellar to attend Comic-Con. But the thing is, she never failed us!

The actress, forever beloved by the crowd at this event for her role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, didn’t disappoint, either. Asked what separates this character from her most iconic role, Gellar replied:

“I got to shoot a gun. Buffy never got a gun.”

Gellar was joined on stage by co-stars Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffudd, and Kristofer Polaha, along with producers Nicole Snyder and Eric Charmelo will also be on hand.

But SMG drew the most laughs. On Ringer, she plays a set of twins, but said the scenes are different than her days as the Buffy bot: “Sometimes I’m playing of a double, somethings you see the double. Sometimes I’m making it up… and by season 3 they’ll clone me.”

Polaha, meanwhile, mentioned that he actually auditioned for Riley on Buffy. He read with Gellar, but the gig went to Marc Blucas.

Charmelo also offered this great tease, saying the show will “live and die by [the] twists and turns and secrets… One [of the twin sisters, Bridget and Siobhan] is driven by redemption; one is driven by revenge. You won’t know who’s the femme fatale and who’s the mark. We love delving into the realm of moral ambiguity. There are things we allude to that cause a huge riff between sisters. It all plays into mythos of that and it’s something we’ll unravel over the season in flashbacks.”

So, what separates Ringer from other shows on The CW?

“No vampires, no demons, nothing supernatural,” Charmelo said, while SMG chimed in: “No hatch, No island!”

She cracks us up.

Overall, I’m excited to see how Ringer will turn out.

Hey Ringer fans, here is another interesting poster released by CW for Ringer.

The Sarah Michelle Gellar vehicle has released a new poster in time for this annual event in San Diego. It features most of the cast, including SMG, Nestor Carbonell and Kristoffer Polaha.

Gellar will be joined by her costars Nestor Carbonell (Lost, The Dark Knight), Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) and Kristoffer Polaha (Life Unexpected), along with members of the show’s creative team. The CW notes that the panel will include an exclusive sneak peak of the series, along with the opportunity “to win a three-night stay at a luxurious suite at a high-end hotel adjacent to the convention center during this year’s Comic-Con.”

Ringer stars Gellar as a woman who is on the run after witnessing a murder and assumes the identity of her identical twin – only to discover her twin has many secrets of her own.

Jaime Murray is coming to Ringer season 1.

The British actress – who recurred as H.G. Wells on Warehouse 13 and went crazy on Dexter season two – will show up on the second episode of Ringer as Olivia, the business partner of Ioan Gruffudd Andrew Martin.

According to TV Guide, the role may expand to include more appearances.

Ringer features Sarah Michelle Gellar in dual roles, twin sisters that are both on the run.
