Guess who’s coming to Castle? She’s one of the most character in CSI. Yes, she’s Liz Vassey.

According to TV Line, the actress will appear on a spring episode of the ABC hit. She’ll portray a a real estate broker who gets caught in the middle of a New York City pizza war. Don’t scoff. They take pizza really seriously there.

What do you think she’ll add on the show?

Rumors say that this episode will be heart-stopping and exciting. After watching episode 17 “Countdown”, I can say that everything went beyond my expectations.

Was it me or did this hour fly by? The entire installment had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Castle and Beckett in the freezer, the hunt for Kevin McCann, the detonating of the bomb… it was all so good.

I have said it before and I will say it again: although Castle is known for outlandish cases, it truly shines when it focuses on realistic investigations. I wouldn’t want such a set-up every week (that’s what we have the other cop shows for), but Castle nailed it this time, giving us a tense, fear-filled hour of television.

In a series as successful as this one, viewers know that the main characters can’t be together just yet. It’s the hope that keeps you watching episode after episode. After “Countdown,” though, we have proof that Castle and Beckett are destined for each other. Having the two locked away in the freezer was everything I needed to hold me over until the next step for these eventual couple.

Stupid Josh. Part of me wishes he would have gone on his trip, so he wouldn’t have shown up and ruined Castle’s question to Beckett. The other part of me appreciates his character because it shows how much of a respectful gentleman Castle can be. I still want him gone, though…

Meanwhile, gotta admire the show for being daring enough to take on a terrorist attack in NYC. The writers handled this with care, as Fallon’s wife was a victim of such a tragedy. It really does make you wonder how this happens and we don’t know anything about it. I can’t imagine being the real life version of Fallon, although I completely understand why he would take that job.

Kudos to the writers and the excellent acting of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic once again; this show totally deserves an Emmy. Adrian Pasdar, you are welcome on my screen anytime, preferably as Detective Fallon.

I really love this episode and I think an Emmy award should really be given.

We are all waiting for the start of the two part story arc, and here it is starting with “Setup.” This episode serves more of an foundation on what can we expect on the succeeding episodes. So what happened? Read below.

This show is no stranger to the extended story, having mesmerized viewers with last seasons’ “Tick, Tick, Tick” and “Boom.” As a loyal Castle fan from the beginning, these two episodes have marked my favorite to date. However, after watching this outing, there may be a new contender.

Adrian Pasdar debuted as Homeland Security Agent Mark Fallon. I was never Heroes viewer, but I do know that he was one of the highlights of the series. The guest star settled into this role comfortably and made quite the impression. So much so that there’s even been talk of spinning the agent off.

The sensitive issue of a terrorist action in NYC was tackled and handled with class. The writers made a point to account for everyone’s emotions, not just those required for the job. You could feel the nervousness and fear, both hidden under a calm presence. Kudos to the staff for giving viewers the ability to really feel this situation.

This show is mostly known for extravagant investigations that stray far from reality, which is often why it’s so enjoyable. But every once in a while, it takes on a case that has the possibility of being real, hitting home for fans in an eerie manner.

A lot of action was packed into this hour: a stripped cab, money laundering, nuclear explosives, a shoot out. We were left with the cliffhanger of who is really behind the bomb: is it the Syrian brothers? McCann, the other driver? What will happen to Castle and Beckett locked in that room?

With all the twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, the private moment between Beckett and Castle seemed secondary. We got a glimpse of Josh and found out he is headed out of the country. With both him and Gina gone, it looks like the path has been cleared a lot for romance.

So with the appearance of Adrian Pasdar, did he bring some Heroes effect?

Look who’s here. He’s a former member of Heroes. So will he save anyone here? Or will he cause trouble as well?

Meet Adrian Pasdar as he will come on board Castle in a guest-starring capacity over the next two weeks.

The actor will portray FBI Agent Fallon, who arrives on the scene to help Castle and Beckett deal with a growing conspiracy and potential explosion.

But might this role turn into a lot more than just a two-week stint? Pasdar hinted at major plans ahead in an interview with TV Addict.

“I said, ‘Hey how about we do a season ender with Fallon, sort of a backdoor pilot spinoff?” Pasdar said. “Just kind of as a joke, I sent it off saying what a great time I had, and I got a very nice letter [from Castle creator Andrew Marlowe] saying, ‘Well it’s not too far off from what we’re thinking about’.”

Might that really take place? It’s a long shot, but Marlowe says:

“We here at Castle were very impressed by Adrian’s tremendous presence both on and off the screen, and feel the character of Agent Fallon could easily become the centerpiece of a terrific series. I leave any further decisions to the network, but, regardless, I would do a show with Adrian in a heartbeat.”

So what do you expect with Pasdar’s role?

The question on this week’s episode of Castle is “Who do you trust?” So what happened on the 15th episode of Castle this season?

According to TV Fanatic, the latest installment of Castle, “The Final Nail,”  offered up this classic question. The case dealt with the murder of Castle’s former classmate’s wife, causing him to be a suspect and forcing Castle to fight for his pal’s innocence.

Beckett said that she had met maybe three people in her life who she knows couldn’t be a murder suspect. This got me thinking. No one wants to believe that someone they know could be a murder, but how many people are you positive couldn’t be?

Jason Wiles guest-starred and immediately caused flashbacks for me to his character from Beverly Hills, 90210. That was years ago and he still looks exactly the same. Either this guy ages well or he has a great doctor!

Having someone from Castle’s past offered the promise of a great episode, yet somehow I felt a little bored with it. It lacked the funny, which is something I have grown to depend on from the series. It had the usual recipe, but just didn’t really live up to expectations.

Still, once again, Nathan Fillion proved why he is such an excellent actor.

We already knew about his comedic timing and heartfelt glances, but the lead went outside his normal routine this week, feeling insecure about what he knew. This man never ceases to amaze me and I often wonder why he isn’t a movie star.

Meanwhile, is there anyone else who thinks that Alexis has started to become one of the most useless characters? Being Castle’s daughter doesn’t give her many possible arcs, but she has seriously been lacking in any story at all. How many lines did she even have in this episode?

Castle has become known for its outlandish cases and great quotes, but there is one thing I love about this show even more. In a few cases, we have been given a two-part episode that pumps up the drama and the stakes. Looking back over the past seasons, these are the episodes I love the most (the 3XK, the arc with Dana Delaney, etc).

Lets keep that in mind. So next week, I think we can wait for the arrival of Pasdar.

So what’s new on Castle this week? Well, a murder of a lottery winner in “Lucky Stiff”!

TV Fanatic: In true Castle fashion, the case had many twists and turns before leading us to the real killer. This is an art the show has perfected, but it didn’t excel at keeping the surprises fresh or intriguing this week.

One thing that I have grown to love about Castle is how the cases are exaggerated, keeping fans guessing about what might happen next. Most of the time, the investigation comes together nicely and makes you appreciate all sixty minutes.

But, for some reason, this one didn’t really do it for me. I don’t know if it was because the real killer kind of came out of left field, or if the people involved weren’t really that interesting. By Castle’s high standards, I was disappointed.

There was a lack of drama outside of the A story, as well, mostly just with Martha and her inheritance. As much as I love the cases, I like to see the relationships between our characters offer something new on a weekly basis, too.

Granted, the scene with Castle and Beckett discussing the scholarship was really sweet. I hope they actually do hold a benefit and we get to see it. It would be nice to see the characters in a social setting, and I think it could make for a really great showcase for Stana Katic.

On a side note, how great was the club scene, as Beckett caught Castle checking her out?

Overall, not my favorite episode of the season. The humor was taken down a notch, with only a few one liners standing out. What did you think TV Fanatics. Was “Lucky Stiff” up to par? What would you do if you won the lottery?

So do you like this episode?

This idea is somehow great for the reason that seeing other faces, especially soap opera stars, is one thing that can spice up Castle. Job well done ABC.

Appropriately, a handful of real-life daytime stars will make an appearance on the installment, which airs this spring. They include:

  • Cameron Mathison (pictured, All My Children)
  • Rebecca Budig (pictured, All My Children)
  • Corbin Bernsen (The Young and the Restless)

The episode will center on the fictional soap opera Temptations and a dangerous blogger who is unhappy with its storylines.

So what can you say about the guests?

Knockdown is one episode that is surprisingly good. It’s a more serious one and I love it.

According to TV Fanatic, although the show is primarily known for its wild antics and off-the-wall story lines, “Knockdown” was just what this show needed.

Beckett had a chance to learn more about her mother’s murder and got that much closer to the person who ordered the hit. We saw the main characters showing some real emotion and finally made some headway with Castle and Beckett.

Having the case focus on Joanna Beckett made it personal for all of our favorite detectives. Ryan and Esposito knew they needed to find answers, Captain knew he had to keep Kate at a distance from it, Castle knew he needed to be their for his partner and Beckett knew who to turn to when she needed someone to trust.

Ryan and Esposito were great all around. They swore they were backing up Beckett and they took the ice torturing because they knew they had no choice. I love that these two are getting more screen time every week. I am also looking forward to seeing more of Esposito and Lanie.

Now to the part everyone had been waiting for, including myself: the Castle and Beckett kiss! Sure, it was out of context and used as a distraction, but it still had the emotion behind it we have been waiting for. The looks on both of their faces were priceless.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed the kiss, there are two other parts that made the episode:

  • When they were at the coffee house and Raglan asked who Castle was, Beckett simply replied, “just someone I trust.”
  • When Castle talking with his worried mother, who asked why he was still doing this and he replied with the quote that opened this review.

A solid episode indeed. So what do you think?

Castle’s episode this week, “Poof! You’re Dead” is definitely more than what I’ve expected! Why? Because the magic is cool, new storylines are interesting, and the murder was cool!

The previews for this episode displayed Gilles Marini as the big guest star, yet he only had a few minutes of screen time. The real guest star of “Poof! You’re Dead!” was Jeff Hephner. He seems to be popping up everywhere, including his recurring role on Hellcats.

Like most episodes, the mystery was extravagant and full of twists and turns. There is no show on television right now that does this type of thing or does as well. Although sometimes the murders are completely unrealistic, they are always entertaining.

“Poof! You’re Dead!” was a prime example of Castle at its bizarre best. I must admit, I am thoroughly looking forward to more episodes with the Triple Killer.

This was the first time we got to see Esposito and Lanie in action as a couple. These two are adorable. It is great that they think they are fooling everyone, yet the others already know. I am a huge fan of Castle and Beckett together, but it is nice to see a little screen time given to the other characters (last week Ryan, this week Esposito).

And now for the highlight of the episode: It has finally happened. Castle dumped Gina!! This relationship was a wrong move from the start and I, for one, am grateful that the writers recognized the issue and corrected it. The season is almost halfway over and there has barely been any mention of Castle and Beckett’s significant others.

Beckett’s face upon overhearing Castle broke up with Gina was priceless. This partially opens the door for these two, and considering the January 24 preview, I’d say that is where they are headed. Not that I want these two to rush into a relationship, but a couple of steps forward won’t hurt.
