Episode 21 of Castle titled “The Dead Pool” showcased the murder of an Olympic hopeful. The case is fun and engaging and of course, full of twists and turns. What else? Read below.

TV Fanatic: The series is on a roll with their episodes, no season slump happening here!

As usual the case was fun, but not nearly the highlight of the episode. There were a lot of high moments; let’s discuss now.

Poker night was back! Castle invited along Alex to the routine game and showed him how the real writers do it. Short but sweet appearances from Michael Connelly and Dennis Lehane. These boys really knew how to put the newbie in his place. Loved it!

Stealing cars can’t be that easy. Of course Castle would have seen the video of how to break into cars with medical supplies. And of course I would go search for said video as soon as the episode was over. No luck here.

Secondary Stories. The past two weeks provided arcs to Martha and Alexis. This week it went to Alex Conrad. Can we have a week where it goes to Lanie & Esposito?

So after the pizza wars, some said we needed more Caskett time. Thanks to “The Dead Pool,” we got it. Castle has been pretty sneaky lately, finding ways to get closer to Beckett. Tonight – honesty was the best option. I was smiling at my TV when he admitted he was jealous. I couldn’t stop smiling when Beckett confessed she thought it was sweet and that she is a one writer woman. Thank you writers!

Season 3 has given us real baby steps with these two. They have a platform built on trust and emotions. Now it’s time for them to have some fun!

Castle will be back on May 2. So we have lot of time to think of the mysteries involved in this series.

How will you rate this episode?

The season finales of the different TV shows have a common denominator – DEATH.

An ABC insider tells Michael Ausiello that a key character will die on the Castle season finale next month. Who will it be? The TV columnist simply reports the character is “someone who’s been with the series since the beginning.”

This episode is titled “Knockout.” So who will die? What about this death trend?

When I first heard that this week’s Castle features a reporter found dead inside a pizza oven, I already thought that this episode “Slice of Death” is going to be a spectacular one.

Am I right with my prediction? Definitely!

TV Fanatic: The installment focused on a reporter doing a piece on the pizza wars between rival shops. Witty one liners, perfect comedic timing, and Alexis cursing made the hour extremely enjoyable.

Usually the twists and turns deal with who the perp is; but this episode threw us viewers in an entirely different direction.

It wasn’t so much about who did it, but how and why this was all connected. The plot of the pizza wars just turned out to be an unexpected bonus.

Alexis took a couple steps forward, getting involved in an actual storyline. Like a normal teenager; she was fighting with a friend, crashed a party, and got into a fight. But in typical Alexis fashion, she decided to work her problems out the mature way. Her troubles led to some of my favorite moments of the night; one on one time with Dad.

Seeing Castle outside of the clever writer persona is always a plus. His fatherly moments were on point, taking Alexis’ side in the name calling asking if his little girl had won the fight.

This is my favorite season so far. It is fun and the the thrills is also present, so I am definitely a Castle believer.

Rock Castle rock!

According to TV Line, legendary KISS frontman Gene Simmons will make a cameo as himself on an upcoming episode.

The installment will find Castle and Beckett pursuing a lead, which takes them to the residence of that week’s victim. He/she happened to be crashing in the guest house of Simmons, who will portray himself and speak to the author and detective briefly in his fictional backyard.

Dominic Purcell, Jason George and D.B. Sweeney will all also guest star during this show’s visit to Los Angeles.

Wow, Castle is really getting loaded with guests huh! I’m sure this will make their upcoming episodes more exciting.

This week’s Castle “Law & Murder” is another decent episode. Well, I can call it a success since it is so entertaining. The episode features a poisoned juror on a high profile murder case. So what happened?

The “Law & Murder” includes the usual and anticipated twists and turns. Sometimes these can be overwhelming, but the murder on this installment played out pretty smooth.

TV Fanatic: As entertaining as the case was, having some outside stories could have helped the episode a bit.

Giving some personal arcs to the secondary characters would really add another layer to this hit show. We know Castle and Beckett; let us get to know Esposito, Ryan, and even Lanie.

Case in point; the tease of “Esplanie.” They are this hot new couple so let us actually see them interacting. Ryan is super sweet, give him some screen time with his new fiance. Don’t get me wrong, I still want my Caskett front and center, but I wouldn’t be disappointed to see the others get some action.

Just last week I mentioned how badly Alexis is in need of her own arc. What do you know? We finally got it – sort of. Castle used his GPS app to track down a lying Alexis in Williamsburg. I was scribbling in my notes…secret boyfriend? Pregnant? Drugs? Anything exciting? Turns out I was wrong.

Alexis had reported back to the scene of her friends’ crime of shoplifting to pay for stolen clothes. This was a step in the right direction of character development, just not a full step forward.

I like how Castle brings us enjoyable episodes like this one. I hope they’ll continue on their streaks since the show is really doing a decent job so far this season.

Castle is really in serious business when it comes to bringing quality guests, add DB Sweeney to that list.

As previously reported, Dominic Purcell and Jason George will both guest star on the upcoming episode that takes Castle and Beckett our west to look into a murder. TV Guide now confirms D.B. Sweeney will also appear on this installment.

The veteran actor, who appeared on a few episodes of The Event, will take on the role of Robbery Homicide Detective Kyle Seeger. He’ll question Castle and Beckett about their rogue investigation.

With Purcell, George and now, Sweeney, how do you think will this episode turnout?

Castle will have a guest coming somewhere off the map. Off the Map will conclude its first season on April 6 and that made Jason George available for guesting.

Fans will be able to find star Jason George on the same network just a few weeks after this show goes off the air: he’s set to guest star on an upcoming episode of Castle.

Appearing on the same episode that also features Dominic Purcell, George will portray an entrepreneur who crosses paths with Beckett and Castle during their upcoming investigation in Los Angeles.

The said episode featuring George and Purcell will air in late April or early May.

It was all tension on the previous episode of Castle, now “One Life to Lose” brings us some fun. Thanks also to the whole lot guest stars.

TV Fanatic: The installment centered on a fictitious soap opera called Temptation Lane, which Beckett just happened to be a huge fan of. The hour was filled with soap stars such as Corbin Bernsen, Rebecca Budig, Cameron Mathison and Jane Seymour. We also had a small visit from David Eigenberg, who reminded me how much I miss him since his days as Steve Brady.

There are many reasons to love this series. It is witty and possesses great comedic timing, but most of all, it knows how to make fun.

Case in point: this nod to Nathan Fillion’s soap opera past on One Life to Live. Overall, it was pretty awesome. It also gave a chance for Beckett to address what we love to call “shippers.” They poked fun at how invested viewers become of a couple (we doesn’t love some Caskett!) and provided us with the best line of the night:

So what can you say about this episode?

Prison Break’s mainstays are really getting active right now. T-Bag appeared on Breakout Kings and now, Dominic Purcell will appear on Castle

The former Prison Break star will appear on an upcoming episode of Castle, one that finds Beckett and Castle heading to Los Angeles for an investigation. Once there, the duo will run into Purcell’s character, a businessman with possible ties to the murder.

The installment will air in late April or May.

What do you expect on Purcell return on the small screen?

I don’t know what to expect but this could get awkward…

According to TV Fanatic, Brendan Hines will guest star as Alex Conrad, the first-time author whose debut novel received a glowing review from the show’s title character. So, what happens when Castle invites his protege to the precinct?

He cozies up to Beckett.

As first reported by TV Guide, look for Castle and Beckett to handle the case of a swimming star’s murder next month, only for the former to grow irritated by how open Beckett is with Conrad.

How will Castle gain the upper hand? By inviting the young author to a poker night that includes real-life writers Michael Connelly and Dennis Lehane.

Best known for portraying Eli on Lie to Me, Hines also recurred on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
