Jessica Tuck will appear on Castle season 4.
The woman who makes us laugh as Nan Flanagan on True Blood will portray a wealthy museum benefactor on an episode of the ABC hit this fall. Look for her to be a suspect in a murder investigation, TV Line reports.
Tuck will come on board during the same episode that features Kristin Lehman as an art insurance investigator… and a possible love interest for Castle. But the latter is only booked for one installment, so viewers can rest easy about her future with the author/detective.

Kristin Lehman is coming to Castle season 4 to play title character’s love interest.
As previously reported, the ABC series has been on the lookout for an art insurance investigator to potentially recur as a new woman in Castle’s life. And TV Line now says the show has founds it woman:
Lehman, most recently seen on AMC’s The Killing.
Nathan Fillion and Lehman actually appeared together, briefly, on the Fox series Drive a few years ago.

A therapist will appear on Castle season 4.
TV Guide reports that former Star Trek: The Next Generation star Michael Dorn will appear on at least two episodes of the ABC hit this fall as Beckett’s police department-mandated therapist.
The sessions between doctor and client will “dredge up a whole bunch of stuff,” producer Laurie Zaks says, adding that Beckett and Castle’s connection will become a focus: “Her conversations will enlighten how the relationship will move forward to whatever that next level is.”
Moreover, look for Beckett to realize she has to “let go or deal with how her mother died,” Zaks previews, considering the unsolved case of her mom’s murder is what landed Kate on the psychologist’s couch, and in the hospital, in the first place.
Castle season 4 premieres on September 19 and expect Dorn on that episode.

One thing Castle season 4 can assure you: The new captain, Penny Johnson Jerald means business.
The actress, who made such a great villain on that Fox drama’s first couple seasons, will come on board season four as Captain Victoria Gates. And she won’t have very much patient for a certain author who likes to act like a cop.
“She’s not warm and cuddly,” Seamus Deaver (Detective Kevin Ryan) tells TV Guide of his character’s new boss. “So the days of us being protected, and the days of Castle being very welcome at the precinct are over.”
Nathan Fillion adds that there won’t be any “trust” between Castle and the new captain, who has no history with him or with Beckett.
“You have a veritable stranger – who’s not an easy woman – and you have Castle, who’s very accustomed to dealing with women, but usually he finds himself being adored and charming. This is a woman who will not be charmed, so it’s going to very difficult for Castle.”

It is now confirmed that Penny Johnson Jerald is the new Castle captain.
The actress has guest-starred on Bones and NCIS and is best known for playing 24 villain Sherry Palmer over the first few seasons of that series.
As first reported by Michael Ausiello, Jerald will portray Victoria “Iron” Gates, a strict, former Internal Affairs investigator. Look for her to immediately clash with a certain author/quasi detective.
Jerald is coming on board because Ruben Santiago-Hudson’s Captain Roy Montgomery was killed off on the season two finale.
Do you think she’s a good replacement?
