Vinny Guadagnino is set to appear in 90210 season 4.

In a piece of casting news that will leave fans either shaking their heads or pumping their fists, Vinny Guadagnino will appear on an upcoming episode of 90210. Unlike previous reality stars (e.g. the Kardashians) that have stopped by, though, Vinny actually will NOT be portraying himself.

Michael Ausiello reports that Vinny will portray a celebrity who is involved in a high-stakes poker game with Liam during the group’s November Las Vegas adventure. This is actually the city, and perhaps the episode, in which Teddy reportedly gets married.

Any thoughts on this one?

90210 season 4 premiere showed us how everyone has changed after summer vacation. “Up In Smoke” gave us a good beginning for the fourth season and I can’t wait to see the second episode. So what happened? Let’s dig in.

TV Fanatic: Naomi’s days as Queen Bee are completely over. Time to climb back up that totem pole. But she’s still filthy rich. Ditching her plans to live in the CU dorms, she bought herself what appeared to be the Taj Mahal…

… And promptly threw herself a mega bash complete with pot bonfire and all. Ivy and Raj are living there, along with Annie. Max apparently was not her Prince Charming, after all, judging from her bad memory of his reaction to her not being pregnant.

I couldn’t really blame him for responding the way he did. They dodged a bullet and can now pursue their dreams instead of becoming premature parents. But Naomi hadn’t seen it that way. His being overjoyed at her not having Max Jr. bummed her out big time. Which led to their break up.

No worries. Shirtless, ripped-abs-to-the-max, country hunk Austin was introduced as Naomi’s sexy new future conquest. There was actual heat between those two. Could you feel it?
Annie found out Marla’s family was contesting the will so she had to defer her first semester at Carnegie Mellon. But Liam proposed by dropping a ring on the hood of her car…. after not hearing from him all summer. What a romantic!

After Annie turned him down, he decided to go big or go home and proposed to Annie for a second time at Naomi’s party. Surprise! Liam went home. Annie once again was not having it and gave him a big fat “no.” And the best part was the sound effects from the fireworks immediately afterwards.

It seemed that our little Miss Annie grew up over the summer. High school crushes have led to real life pondering and Annie wanted more than puppy-love declarations. Plus, she had her eye on Jeremy, an older college boy who intrigued her enough to invite him to Naomi’s party.

Navid and Silver started shacking up together and acting like Ma and Pa Kettle after 50 years of marriage. To complete the picture, they decided to raise Nila, Navid’s spoiled teenage sister, who decided not to relocate to Switzerland with the rest of Navid’s family/
Silver wasn’t too thrilled at having to raise a testy teen but now that she’s part of a couple she wanted to do her part to support her partner. That Nila proved to be more than a handful though and, after throwing a hissy fit, ran away. Good times.

Silver also had to contend with Adrianna once again trying to weasel her way into her good graces. Living with the natives in an African village over the summer seemed to have changed Adrianna for the better. At least that’s what she wanted the tabloids to think.

She confronted Silver at Naomi’s party with seemingly heartfelt apologies but Silver put her in her place. Silver nearly killed herself because of Adrianna’s bipolar meds switcharoo so she wasn’t in a forgiving mood. Rightly so.

Dixon found himself as a “homeless, black man” after Navid screwed with his dorm application. But not to worry. In true 90210 style, he ended up getting an amazing condo by the beach complete with Austin, his easy-on-the-eyes new roommate.

Dixon also decided to not go to college and be more like his ’80s stylistic musician hero Theophilus London. After being part of a hip-hop tour over the summer, the thought of sitting in a classroom for four more years lost its appeal. He’s an artist, damnit. He neededs to create, and create he shall.

Ivy and Raj spent the entire summer attached at the hip, as is to be expected of newlyweds, but time had taken its toll. Raj looked like death warmed over because, well, death IS warming him over. Dying from cancer tends to not make a person glowy and warm. Poor Ivy had to struggle with being a newlywed, soon-to-be widow. She’s definitely not the hippy-dippy surfer chick from last year anymore.

Teddy managed to be in a few scenes but it seemed as if the whole point of it was to just get his goodbye storyline underway. Trying to figure out how to come out to his family, he finally came up with the best way yet: Leave dad a voicemail. Perfect.

Liam got trashed after Annie dashed his marital dreams and ended up buying the beach bar everyone will most likely be hanging out at this season. But where did he get all the money to do so from? Fishing at sea doesn’t pay THAT well.

Overall, this is a good episode to start 90210 season 4. What do you think?

How might this character get involved on season four? This could be a major hint: Due to a sorority prank, Naomi will get arrested early this fall.

Here comes the Mr. Big of 90210 season 4.

That’s how producers have described the role that will be taken on by Chris McKenna, who Entertainment Weekly reports will appear on multiple season four episodes.

Look for the actor – who has guest-starred on Rizzoli & Isles, NCIS: Los Angeles and Harry’s Law, among other shows – to recur as a young, wealthy, smooth business man with girlfriends across the country. Soon to be included among them? Annie.

How will these two meet? Annie’s new occupation will likely come into play.

Trevor Donovan is no longer a regular but we will see him on several episodes of 90210 season 4.

According to TV Addict, Donovan admits it was “disappointing,” but also “understandable,” adding:

“The point of the storyline last year was to tell the tale of a kid coming out and coming to terms with who he was when he didn’t even realize it in the past himself and I really think that came to fruition at the end of last season.”

And, hey, he got to be Prom King!

Before Teddy departs, though, he’ll have something important to do when new episodes return next month: come out to his parents.

Donovan assumes this won’t be easy because “there always has to be conflict in a storyline,” but he also admits that he isn’t sure where the writers are taking his character. Overall, the actor is grateful for the important role he was given on 90210.

“Playing Teddy and helping people who are struggling with issues of their own has been nothing but a positive experience.”

Any comment about this one?

One thing that was revealed to us on season 4 of 90210: Annie might have a long-term future with Liam.

But, in the short term, we now know what the future holds for Annie Wilson – and it’s nothing we would have predicted. According to Michael Ausiello, this recent high school graduate will become… a professional escort?!?

No other details regarding the reasons behind this move have been revealed, but it does have our interest piqued. Which is more than we can usually say for storylines involving Annie.

What are the other things to expect?

  • Naomi will be attending college.
  • Navid will be living with Silver after his parents leave for Switzerland and running his father’s production company.
  • Dixon will be in the music business.
  • Liam will own a bar.
  • Adrianna will be doing all she can be make up for being an awful human being on season three.

One thing is sure on 90210 season 4 – Changes!

But Michael Steger says the transition from Rebecca Sinclair to Patti Carr and Lara Olsen as lead writers has been “seamless,” as cast members can go to the duo about anything and the focus is simply on making season four the best one ever for this CW hit.

What will it entail for Navid?

“He’s running the family business,” Steger said, adding that it’s switched from porn production to music video and commercial production. “But he’s still being haunted by his father’s past. Certain obstacles will present themselves and make life difficult.”

Chief among them? His father’s brother, Amal, who somehow got away with NOT being accused of child pornography.

“He thinks Navid is this naive kid who needs guidance, so he tries to play a mentor role,” Steger told me. “There’s a lot of animosity there.”

Of course, nothing can match the animosity of last season between Navid and Adrianna, as 90210 took one of its main characters down a dark, evil path. Is there any way she can be redeemed?

No, “it’s not possible,” Steger says. “She’s caused a ton of damages to a lot of essential characters, all the friends in her circle. But she’s trying, she’s on a path to redemption. It’s not working so far.”

The actor also tells viewers to look for “fun stuff” between Dixon and Navid, as the former will be getting into the music business and there will be plenty of opportunities for the two friends to work together. There will also be some “misunderstandings” along the way.

90210 season 4 premieres on September 13.
