The good thing about the Final Night Performances of Dancing With the Stars season 12 is that you cannot really count somebody out. Even the underdogs impressed the judges, and of course, the viewers.

TV Fanatic: Chelsea Kane has really come on strong of late. She hasn’t had the name recognition afforded her other two competitors but she’s arguably been the best there is.

Monday night, she aced both her judges’ choice dance and her freelance bit, showing her athleticism as well as her adaptability to unconventional choreography.

Kirstie Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy may have the toughest road to the title, falling a bit short of their competitors’ scores. Still, they didn’t disappoint.

A trimmer Kirstie scored solid 9s for a sultry samba in the first round, then earned another set of 9s with freestyle cartwheels and lifts galore, but a total of 54.

Unfortunately, that solid number pales in comparison to the aggregate 59 put up by Chelsea and by Hines Ward, the football star turned ballroom great!

He donned a top hat for this week’s judges’ choice in a peppy quick step that ended with a burst of flair and champaigne at the judges’ table. They loved it.

“You make it like you’re running for a touchdown and the whole crowd is cheering for you and following you around the ballroom,” Carrie Ann Inaba said.

So who will win on this night’s season finale? Any bet?
