First of all, I’ll make it clear that this review is solely for the movie, so do not expect some book-movie comparisons in here. For the die-hard Twilight Saga fanatics out there, I’m sorry but this movie failed to meet my expectations. The special effects is great but the flow and phasing of the story is very horrible. While watching, I remembered how “Robin Hood” was delivered and it seemed that I was watching the same thing, though Twilight is a bit faster. The history given about vampires and werewolves is a good ingredient of the movie and I liked it.
For me there are only two highlights in the movie Eclipse, the “tent scene” and the “face-off.” The tent scene was very remarkable. I will never forget Edward’s reaction when Jacob hugged Bella to keep her warm during the storm. Much more when Jacob asked her to remove her clothes to feel his heat more. Yeah, Survival 101!  Did Bella remove her clothes? Just watch the movie!
For me, the “face-off” between the newborns and vampire-werewolf team was the most anticipated scene in the movie but, honestly, the flick failed to deliver. They could have made it better and more exciting. The effects on the face- off scene is great but it was not that action-packed. The Victoria-Edward fight scene also lacked some intensity considering that it should be the most breathtaking part or event in the movie. But overall they did a quite satisfying job.
There are also a lot of kissing scenes and there is nothing wrong with that. At least, unlike the other movie series, Twilight’s characters are growing with their audience. The problem is that some people in the movie house did not anticipate it so they ended up bringing their 10-year old and below, children. Thus, when Bella and Edward or Bella and Jacob were kissing, some adults were truly excited and the children were definitely clueless.
